The Hunt Apartments

"For the most part, I have absolutely loved my stay here at The Hunt. I have had quite a few hiccups like flooding from rain and pipes breaking. You will see an occasional roach, but it's hard to avoid that in appartments. But everything has been manageable. The maintenance team here is pretty on point. Any time I've put an order in, it's done asap. Most times I don't even have to wait an hour. And the management at the office has been very helpful in my 2 years of living here. For a first time renter, I am very pleased. Couldn't have asked for a better first home."

"Lived here 2 years in 2 different apartments. First one had cockroaches, which I hadn't experienced before, so I assume they were already there; they do hire pest control though. The outside storage closet lock was broken when I moved in, but maintenance fixed it. The courtyard areas felt private, but got really muddy when it rained due to lack of grass and delivery drivers might not know they exist because I had one ask me where an apartment was; I had my packages delivered to other doorsteps sometimes and completely lost. However, the office hired a lawn care crew and companies to trim the trees and fix the concrete, so there's some pride in the grounds. A closet in my second apartment flooded and the apartment had other problems I never reported because maintenance fixed my bathroom sink stopper once just for it to break again, so I kinda gave up; for example, the bathtub shower was just a shower because the diverter was stuck, so the tub function was basically broken, the dryer barely dried, and the front and patio door stuck horribly. Woke up to a sprinkler by my front porch bursting water; maintenance turned it off, but I'm unsure if they actually fixed it. The pool was pretty nice, but sometimes the closed sign would be up when it should be open and I remember asking one maintenance guy about this once and his response was just "the other maintenance guy is in charge of the pool." You'd think there could be good communication when there are just 2 maintenance guys. However, the office did text me when it opened once, which was nice, but other times they'd talk to you short on the phone. Be prepared to get messages about picking up after your dog even when you do and about smoking even when you don't. Lounge printer was always out of ink and sometimes the car gate would be up for days. There were also dumpster divers, but they never approached me or messed with my car. I had a neighbor repeatedly comment on my parking although there isn't assigned parking. I had neighbors be really nice and wave at me, stop to talk, and invite me over for dinner and another neighbor try to get me kicked out. Office hosts fun resident events to meet your neighbors. Not unhappy with getting $65 back from deposit, but they do charge you for cleaning and carpet cleaning, like another reviewer said, even if you do both. In summary, this apartment is hit or miss. The rent isn't bad and it's really nice being close to the highway, but the quality is so-so."

"I moved into the Hunt Apartments in July. I saw car doors halfway open when I first moved in, but I didn’t think too much about it because there was a hole in one of the fences big enough for someone to slip through. They fixed it, and I presumed it wasn’t a big deal. In the past two weeks, there have been several car break ins. There was a car parked in the middle of the passage way at 6 in the morning and a car with its door half way open with the console cleared out. The third incident happened to my car yesterday when someone broke my window and tried to steal my car by busting the ignition with a screwdriver. It’s not management’s fault; I know they truly can’t do anything, but I wish I’d known about these problems before I moved here. I don’t feel safe living here. I’ve been keeping my car at somebody else’s house and asking for rides. Anyone can get through the gates, and they have been. If it wasn’t so expensive to break the lease, I’d be out of here by next week. Maintenance and management are great, but it’s just not a safe place to live."

"Hardly ever leave bad reviews but had to make out time for this. The hunts is a very nice apartment but with horrible management. You won't get to see the bad reviews of current tenants cos they'd almost trick you to leave false review. I previously left one but can't retrieve it to edit it. Moved in here August 2022 and everything seemed great. When you have a little issue and need to talk with the office, you'd be greatly disappointed. The property manager, Michelle is so difficult that you can't even communicate with her. She either has an understanding issue or she prefers to be attacking on any slight communication. Like she actually waits to attack instead of listen to respond to you. I moved out here in September, I got a job out of state. Me and roommate Cleaned out the apartment and vaccumed the rugs. There wasn't any visible dirt anywhere in the apartment when we handed the key. Apartment was well cleaned, I have the pictures but she took our deposit of $150 and charged it for carpet cleaning and another $150 for unit cleaning. If this isn't theft, I don't know what it is. I'm not pursuing this case because I would have taken it to claims court cos you can't be this daft to rob people. You took my money for both carpet and unit cleaning, an apartment which was neatly cleaned. I want to let you know that the money isn't much but that act would bring with it many woes, trust me on this! I don't know if it has anything to do with racism like the reviews but I feel robbed by this apartment but I would let it be. Made efforts to reach out to talk about this but have been given a back hand. I won't try further but I am leaving this out here so when you have similar experience,you'd come here and clear your doubts. Would make sure this gets across all review platforms."

"The Hunt apartments are fantastic! I have lived here for a decent amount of time, and the management is so nice, and the maintenance staff is fantastic! I can't imagine living in any other apartment complex, and I very highly recommend living here. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings"
