Wichita Falls Regional Airport

"Ended up there because my flight to Lawton, OK was canceled. My Dad is actively dying, so my Stress level was at it's Max. The flight from Dallas to Witcita Falls was Fast and Safe. The Airport was nice. Very Nice and our luggage arrived safe too. Our baggage claim (release) was prompt. Overall, I am extremely "Thankful" for the opportunity to."

"The town of Wichita Falls has been struggling to grow in general for many years. They’ve tried many different things such as revitalizing downtown, being new amenities, hotels, restaurants, and recreational options with some successful, others not. As someone whose lives in Wichita Falls for 30+ years, I decided to use the “airport” for the first time, and even thought to myself, “why have I not done this before?”. I quickly was forced to understand why I’ve never used SPS Regional Airport, nor will I in the future. Arriving 40 minutes before the 6am flight, having already checked in and prepaid for my checked bag online, I was told, “ohh, your 5 minutes too late… sorry about your bad luck…, you can just go put your luggage in your car if you want but we won’t do anything for you”. What has happened to a customer first drive to provide top notch service?! Or even moderate service?!? Maybe even decent service?? No, instead I was provided exactly what Wichita Falls has to offer, a joke of an “single plan airport” and incompetent, lazy and worthless employees to go with it. How bad must the pay be, to have hired the absolute bottom of the barrel staff for the one and only option to receive out of area tourists to spend money in our town.. Sadly when people use this airport, 9/10 times they will not be using it again nor coming back after experiencing the atrocity that is this “airport”. We would be better off defunding it, saving tax payer money and building a rail system to get people to and from DFW airport. Do not use this airport unless it’s a medically necessary emergency, and even then, think twice, No think three times, because I promise you the staff will not think once."

"Nice little airport. Nice people work here. There are plenty of outlets for charging. The snack bar is outside of security. Vending machines are available. The rental car counter opens at 9:30. A few maintenance issues. Coffee maker with no pods. The bathroom lights out. There are no paper towels. Remind the Gate staff that while he may say the same thing over and over, his job to make announcements is important, and he should treat it as such. Slow down and don't mumble!"

"Great regional airport with very attentive staff. Easy to use. Parking behind the gates has always been a challenge as the automated gates may or may not work, with no instructions as to how to exit if gates don't work."
