"We actually stayed at a different campsite on Lake Murray, but it was close to Sunset Beach. We visited this beach, but didn’t swim since we could swim where our site was. However, I am still reviewing it because we did walk up to it and took a good look around. This appears to be a great beach, especially for those with children. The beach and the swim area are quite large. People were able to spread out nicely in the water and not be too close to other groups of people. Some people brought canopy tents for shade, some were grilling, etc. There are private flush toilets and showers as well. The reason for the four stars is due to parking. The lot for day use is large, you can only park in certain slots and there aren’t that many. I’m assuming they do this so that the campers at Sunset Beach aren’t overrun by day use folks. However, it is unfortunate if you just want to swim at this beach and all of the parking spots are already taken."
"The sunset beach was really beautiful we have an amazing time there. The water was really clear my little one had so much in there the view is just amazing we wait it for the sunset and it was really beautiful.."
"Absolutely hate having to pay to park and then grills are so nasty you can't cook on them. I know this is a busy time but they could be cleaned once a day. These hadn't been cleaned in a long time."
