"I have never left a single review anywhere in my entire life and am a pretty easy going person - if that tells you anything about me take the time to write this. My husband and I took our cat here tonight after our ottoman fell on his back legs (he immediately started limping and meowing). We figured at worst he had fractured a leg, and at best had bruised it. When we met with Dr. Carlos, we set out cat down so he could watch him limp. After watching him CLEARLY struggling to walk, limping, and meowing in pain, the Dr. said and I quote “Oh he’s not limping, great!” ….??? He put him back on the table and told us he probably has some “trauma”. I asked him if he had any idea what kind of trauma, because that’s why we brought him in. He quite literally did not have an answer and gave us an anti inflammatory and pushed us out the door. No exaggeration, the whole interaction was 5 minutes. My husband and I just looked at each other in shock. It felt like we were in some comedy skit. The worst experience I have ever had. Do not go here, make the drive. I do not trust these doctors and wish I had read reviews beforehand. Praying nothing serious is wrong with our cat."

"This is not an ER. If the life of your pet is in the balance, DON'T GO HERE. Go to an ER! Currently, the only animal ERs are in SLC, sadly. Pet Urgent Care Orem staff treatment of my suffering cat was considered medically NEGLIGENT. They seem to deeply care for animals, but they do not seem to be strong in the actual "Medical care" of an animal. *** Here is my complaint about Pet Urgent Care. *** They DID NOT put her in an Oxygen tank. They DID NOT tell me to take her immediately to an ER, nor tell me that there even WAS one. They DID NOT tell me they were 'Urgent Care' and not qualified to treat her. They DID charge me for their non-service and sent me home. My cat was breathing fast and shallow. She was currently being treated for FIP (through FIP Warriors Program) and had been on medicines for 2 days. On the 3rd day, she suddenly developed an over-fast breathing and was gasping for air. It was the middle of the night, so I raced her to Pet Urgent Care Orem because it was the only facility in Utah County still open at midnight. They took my fur-baby and wouldn't let me come with, which further stressed her out. They kept her 20-30 mins before they returned my cat and consulted me. They told me what I already knew... she has FIP (I had already told them that), and said she should be euthanzied right away. The doctor scolded me for associating with FIP Warriors and said I was putting my girl through unnecessary pain and torture. I assured them that she HAD been responding well to the treatment for the past 2 days, and only developed this breathing issue a half-hour ago right after I had given her a SubQ IV to rehydrate her. The doctor informed me her skin had turned yellow, which means her liver is dying. She was dying. Then they said there was "nothing they could do for her more", and sent me home with the recommendation to feed her a homemade RAW diet. I went home and did not sleep while I watched and tried to comfort a cat that struggled to breathe all night long. Then I took her to Country View Vet Hospital right when they opened at 8:00 AM. Country View Veterinary Hospital IMMEDIATELY put her in an OXYGEN TANK and transferred her straight to the SLC Veterinary ER (MedVet) for ER Critical Care services. The ER said her lungs were full of liquid (not from the IV-drip, but just from the FIP infection) and so they quickly drained her lungs. They put her on steroids to reduce the inflammation from the infection, and gave her pain meds to alleviate her suffering while she healed. They also gave her a feeding tube and an IV-drip for hydration and to keep her organs from failing; and allowed ME to keep up her FIP Warrior treatments. She bounced back! She felt much better the next day and was released after day 2. It has now been 8 days, and the FIP Medication is absolutely working. She's now so alive and playing with her feathers, and giving joyful love to all she meets. She will survive FIP. Pet Urgent Care Orem staff treatment of my suffering cat was terribly medically NEGLIGENT. They seem to deeply care for animals, but they do not seem to be strong in the actual "Medical care" of an animal."

"I have had to take 2 of my dogs here for a total of 3 visits. Once it was for a sudden unknown severe allergic reaction, they were incredibly quick and helpful, it was such a relief. The next time was this week, my golden retriever needed stitches after being bitten by another dog. They were very kind and helpful, even though they were clearly busy and trying to take care of several other hurt and sick animals. My dog went last because she had to be sedated, they stayed later and made sure my dog was taken great care of even though it was late. The only bad part was since they had others to take care of, my dog was bleeding all over their waiting room, I felt terrible about it but I really couldn’t do anything about it and I think it made other people waiting uncomfortable. A couple days later, unfortunately my dog got an ear infection from the moisture after having her stitches wrapped to keep her ears from flapping. They were again very accommodating, kind, and helpful, they got her another antibiotic and she is doing much better now. This place has a lot of bad reviews, I think it’s because people are very emotional when it comes to their animals. I know I am. They try their best, and I think it would be really hard to work here. I know I’m very grateful for the service they offer."

"I highly recommend Pet Urgent Care. We came in with our Boston terrier, no longer able to walk, eat, or go potty on his own, Rebel could not even stand up. So We thought we was going to have to send him to rainbow Bridge. Seth recognize the issue that our old Vet had him on too high of a dose of seizure medicine for his seizures and started him on a steroid by the next morning our dog was able to stand up, walk all on his own. The vets and the staff are very friendly and knew, Rebel by his name and ours. We are grateful that they gave us our Rebel back to love for a while. Heartfelt thank you to you all. You truly are the best."
