"You never know how good you have it until it's gone. In my undergrad, I took many an exam in there. Sure 4-5 hours was a long time, but once the test was over, it was over. You got your score and never looked back. Things are different now in grad school. I have not had a single test in the testing center. They're pretty much all take-home exams. Let me tell you, those are what students should be afraid of. When the teacher tells you open book, open note, closed friend, you better get ready for a rocky ride. Or it might be the best time of your life. You never really know unlike tests in the testing center. To those of you still taking tests in the testing center, take advantage of the opportunity because there will come a time when it will be the last time you walk through the doors, give your test to the student at the counter, throw away your scratch work, walk down the stairs, open the door, walk away from the testing center, resist checking your score, give in to checking your score, pull up the testing center website on your phone, and weep or shout for a joy. It's an experience guys. One of a kind in fact."
"Charges an extra $5 when you take a test the last day. This adds up when you have a professor who assigns a lot of exams with only a day and a half to take them. I have had several professors try to work around the fee with no success. It seems like they are just trying to make an easy buck off students."
"I actually kind of like the testing center. It's just a big building where you take your exams. Taking exams is not the best part. The lines to take your exam can be extremely long and by far the worst part. Their system is really quick at grading. They also offer a music room where they play some classic music as you take your exam."
"I mean, it's a testing center, so I don't actually love it all that much because if I'm in there it means I'm taking an exam... But it is a high quality testing center! I like the free pencils. The best part is the vending machines, when they're stocked. It's a good after-test treat."
