"I did two different tours in one day through Salt Lake City. The first one was called. Ultimate Salt Lake City Tour. the second was Great Salt Lake Tour. There’s a variety of hotels that they will pick you up in front of and drop you off in a small bus. The guides were very knowledgeable and gave you good history from the past to the present. The city tour took us to Heritage Park, State Capital building and Temple Square. Temple Square is where the Prophet comes in with the apostles from the Church of Latter Day Saints Two times a year. they hold a gathering inside the Salt Palace. 20,000 people come together to see what the prophet has to say. People came from all over the world. You have to get a ticket to go in there. It is free of charge. I was just sitting on the outside, watching all the people leave after the first gathering. It was incredible. This tour lasted about 2 hours and 30 min. Then the second tour we went to the Salt Lake. It’s about 20 miles out from the city. The Salt content is at 13% and that’s enough for a human to float in the water so you won’t sink. Brine shrimp, Brine flies and algae live in the lake. The shrimp eat the algae and birds come from different states to eat the flies. There are a lot of minerals in the sandy water, and they say you could put the sand on your skin like going to a day spa. .At the moment they are having a very bad drought and the water is at 45%. This. Tour was 2 hours"
