"Unprofessional nurse practitioner Hilorie Garside that need to be investigated by the professional licensing department for not willing to take care of their patients. All they care about is overcharging insurance and patients but don’t bother to care of a patient’s needs. My personal experience with Hilorie Garside has been horrific. Money hungry nurse practitioners that give a bad name to other professionals. I would not recommend them to anyone. Go to a healthcare provider who cares about their patients. Turning them to be investigated."

"Probably a great clinic if you believe in pseudoscience. Otherwise a waste of money and time. Both counselors I saw left the clinic after one session with me. Additionally both gave me strong "alternative medicine" vibes. The first person was agreeable enough, and despite mentioning chakras and how we are "energetic beings" I felt like this mysticism was more of a tool to help visualize and work through issues. I had an open mind about it. I was not informed during my session that she was leaving the clinic so I was only warned a day or two before my next appointment - not very professional. Still she was kind and tried to get to know me before diving into a mindfulness exercise. The second person I saw gave me an awful session in particular. I was asked about my symptoms as if I was sick and at the urgent care clinic. Usually therapists try to get to know you in the first session, but not her. Because of this I'm actually concerned that she was reading notes from the first counselor I saw who had left - I never signed a release of information so if this is true it's highly illegal. I mostly think this is possible because the first counselor did ask those getting to know you questions. Either way not very good. For most of this second session, she had me stare at some lights while she just typed at her laptop. I was told to focus on my negative feelings while concentrating on the lights which would somehow fix me? I was also told this is an exercise called EMDR which I googled after the session but didn't find any substantial scientific research into the topic. Red flag. I tried to hint at her that this wasn't doing anything for me but she just prompted me to continue until it did work. I felt pressured to lie and say it's working just to get it over with, but was met with more light staring. No idea what she was typing. It was far too much to be taking notes about me since all I was doing was staring at her magic light bar. No idea how a person so impersonal and so unscientific can even be a licensed counselor. For context, I didn't see a single copy of the DSM-5 in this clinic."

"Sarah is rare in all the best ways. A real, honest, engaging and caring fellow human. She offers all the modalities I’ve been searching for, for years, marrying clinical mental health approaches with mindfulness, the body and spirituality. This is what mental health should look like! "I was overcharged for my sessions for months. Once I brought this to their attention it took another 2 months for them to reconcile my account. They overcharged me $500 and said for 5 weeks in a row that they would mail me a reimbursement check. Finally they said Sarah would give me the check at my next appointment and then she canceled the appointment 2 hours before I was suppose to meet her. They said I could pick up the check the next day. I went to the office the next day and Sarah told me she forgot her wallet and would mail it to me. I told her that's what she had said for 6 weeks so was she really going to do it? All said very calmly. She told me to leave her office or she would call the cops. I was extremely surprised by her behavior. Someone I was suppose to feel comfortable being vulnerable to, had lied to me for weeks. Then treated me in that manner for no reason at all. Sarah Carter over charged me and stole my money. Go to a professional therapist. Sarah Carter is not one. * 5 days later Sarah has contacted me 3 times since this incident. Suddenly she has a 3-6 week reimbursement policy of which she never mentioned when she promised "I'm mailing the check this week" for 5 weeks in a row. She has not apologized for her behavior in front of my child and another underage patient but said she wants her office to be a safe place. If that's the case then she should not raise her voice and threaten her patients in the office. She did admit she is "human" but still no apology for treating me the way she did when I thought it was safe to be open and vulnerable with her. She has broken my trust as her patient and proven she never cared about my well being. If she felt she did nothing wrong then why reach out to me 3 times and try to explain her reason for lying, stealing, and mistreating her patients. Her behavior this last week has only strengthened my beliedf that she's extremely unprofessional and should not be trusted."

"I have worked with Sarah in a professional setting and she is an incredible therapist. She takes great care of each of her clients and individualizes what is needed for them. I have also seen Sarah work outside of my profession and she has a love for helping others heal and recover. Sarah is an amazing person and I would recommend her to anyone looking for therapy."
