"** Read edit below ** HOSPITAL FULL OF LIES One good thing I can say is that I'm glad I didn't die there. I felt the doctors were dismissive and vague about my condition and I left there unsure about what really happened, but again, I'm still alive, so that's a positive. I was in the hospital for three weeks total, and after the first week, I received a phone call from the hospital billing dept telling me that I have reached my insurance out of pocket maximum, and if I were to pay it early, I would get a discount. So I paid it while still in the hospital, not knowing how long I would be there. Months later, I finally received my bill and found that there was no discount as promised. After many phone calls, I was told that there was never any discount and never will be. The hospital also tried to bill my insurance in a way that caused my insurance to decline payment, and it took 6 months to get that straightened out. I was told by the hospital it was up to me to get it fixed with my insurance, they said, "we have no obligation to bill your insurance twice". It was a full year after leaving the hospital and what felt like 100 phone calls later when the bill was finally paid by insurance, and WITHOUT the out of pocket discount of course. I don't believe what the doctors told me, I was lied to by the billing dept, and it was a nightmare just getting the bill paid. What a horrible miserable way to be treated by a place that is supposed to be there to help. Edit: I contacted the patient representative and spoke to a very nice lady named Jenny, and after a couple of weeks, I received a check for the difference of the promised discount! I don't know why it had to be such a big fight before, but Jenny got it done, thank you so much. 5 stars for Jenny! Here are two things I have learned: 1) I would recommend that anyone who is having trouble with the billing department at Jordan valley hospital call the patient representative and see if they can help. Calling the billing department is a complete waste of time. 2) If they offer you a discount to pay in advance, don't pay a dime unless you get it in writing, like a signed contract."

"This review is mainly for the hospital staff overall but specifically I’d really like to take a moment to thank and appreciate Sean P, the nurse in outpatient surgery. Throughout my mom’s experience in multiple trips to this hospital for different procedures, the attention to detail, the level of care, the transparency, and the attitude of Sean was unmatched by any other. He was kind, considerate, patient, understanding, and real. Bedside rapport is being seen less and less in traditional hospital standards sadly due to a lot of varying factors but Sean sets the gold standard and gives hope to the families he interacts with. My mom has Alzheimer’s and doesn’t remember names easily but without just minutes, Sean’s name stuck with her, even after anesthesia she spoke of how kind he was and how helpful he was both pre and post op. Thank you Sean, from a very over protective son, you and the team give me peace of mind knowing we’ll always receive the best care should we need to visit again. A huge thank you as well to Theresa in reception and Ashlynn in anesthesia. The three of you combined made what was a terrifying experience, a pleasant and well thought through one instead. Your efforts in combination with the amazing work done by Dr Pence will be why we never leave your facility or seek care elsewhere. Thank you."

"The staff in the ICU was incredible and took great care of my Grandma during a very scary time. A big shout out to her nurses Dom and Sierra. Thanks for all your hard work and attentiveness."

"Unfortunately the reason I have to give this hospital only one star is solely because of the front staff in the emergency department. They are absolutely rude and treat people so hideous. They hang up on you when you call and it's not by accident either. Maybe hanging up on you one time is an accident but several times? That's definitely deliberate. My family and I will never go there again and neither will any of my friends. We've boycott Holy Cross. Not so Holy after all."

"My husband is in the acute rehabilitation unit, the staff are awesome! They care about their patients, their needs and want them to meet their goal. All the nurses ROCK! The CNA's rule! We want to thank Kori. Corey, Allison and all the staff. We are grateful for all you guys do!!! We want to give a shout out to Janae CNA and Charles RN you all are the BEST!!! Our PT/OT/ST are the BEST as well!!"
