"The school itself seems expensive enough, costing the government around $72 million just for the basics alone. This kind of funding is serious business, so I gave it a whirl. The school currently holds the record for the biggest school in the state of Utah, with well over 3,000 students making up the student body. Walking in the halls is a feat as equally marveled at as slicing through sixteen semi-ripe watermelons on top of a cruising North American X-15 jet while standing on your head. Trying desperately to move through the building in between classes feels quite literally like making your way through a packed ant farm. On top of it all, many of the students wake up between 5 and 6 am each morning, which doesn't help with traffic in the halls or on the road. I saw a car on its way to school one morning that quite literally nearly rammed itself halfway through the seminary building. During the warmer parts of the year, the school halls are rumored to reach around 150 degrees Fahrenheit due to the sheer population of teenagers that, for the most part, don't seem to shower or even have the decency to use deodorant in the mornings. The staff seems to take it all in stride, having the patience to not break under the stress of managing trillions of unwashed bodies each day. The cafeteria lines are said to reach nearly a kilometer long on Asian food day. Hopefully around 2,000 students will spontaneously pick up and move to Kansas or somewhere equally unpopulated to decrease national gaps in population."

"The kids are disrespectful and always going over into the surrounding apartment complexes and neighbourhoods to eat lunch and smoke weed and cigarettes in the stairwells. They leave trash and cigarette butts everywhere. The staff and truancy officers do nothing about the students leaving school and causing problems in the complexes or neighborhoods. There's far too much traffic and overcrowding. The surrounding schools have had to change their schedules to accommodate the high school. There's all sorts of event's all the time that are overly loud and the lights on the football field are blinding to the surrounding areas. This school has caused nothing but problems for my family for months. Would not recommending the school nor living anywhere nearby."

"Herriman High School is a great school in terms of the teachers and their willingness to help their students. The secretaries are kind and helpful, and our counselors are also very nice and willing to help with scheduling difficulties. However, the student body is horrendous. The school is far, far overfilled, which contributes to a huge downgrade in our quality of education. For example, f I do not leave at least 30 minutes before school starting, living 5 minutes away, I will be late which leaves an unexcused tardy on my record. Another example is the system of MAP. The class period is meant to help students with their academics, but the way it is run with so many students makes it more about housing our population than actually helping our education. This school is ridiculous. While I understand that there is not much else that our higher-ups within the school can do, there needs to be a change somewhere. As a student, I cannot do that. However, if we want to improve the mental and social health of the students going here, it is an absolute must that we change the overfilled population, and the way that our school is running it."
