Tropical Smoothie Cafe

"We recently visited Tropical Smoothie Cafe hoping to enjoy a refreshing drink and a pleasant atmosphere after traveling from New Mexico but unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. From the moment my family and I walked in, we felt completely ignored by the staff. Despite being the only customer at the time, not a single employee greeted us or acknowledged our presence. The lack of attention continued as we waited at the counter, hoping to place our orders. Multiple staff members were in the back, engrossed in their own tasks, while I waited and shouted “hello is anyone back there? I see you. I know you see me.” The young lady froze but didn’t make a sound. And finally after my husband shouted “hello! Can we get some help?” A young gentleman finally said something and told us they’re doing prep work their manager wanted them to do. After several minutes of being ignored, we made the decision to decline service and leave. It was clear that our presence was not valued, and I did not feel comfortable spending my money in an environment where customers are treated with such indifference. Overall, my experience at Tropical Smoothie Cafe was extremely disappointing. While I cannot comment on the quality of the smoothies themselves, the complete lack of customer service and welcoming atmosphere left much to be desired. I hope that the management takes steps to improve their staff training and prioritize customer satisfaction in the future. Until then, I cannot recommend this establishment to others."

"Used to frequent the Tropical Smoothie when we lived in Florida and were excited to get a location near us. We get Tropical Smoothie at least a couple times a week and sometimes they are on point but lately it’s been off. When we have ordered pick up or gone through the drive through, the smoothies haven’t been sweet. They’re super sour. They are not drinkable and when you pay so much for each smoothie it’s extremely disappointing. I understand it can get busy but please train staff to make sure they’re not missing anything like sweetener for the smoothies. Today, we ordered 6 smoothies and only the Blimey Limey was sweet! Over the past 2 months this has happened to us 4 times and that’s 4 times too many. We spend too much money here for the smoothies to not be drinkable. We’re spending around $50 plus here on every visit. Then they ask for a tip? Just ridiculous. I think I’ll start going to Jamba, Roxberry’s or a different Tropical location from here on out. It’s truly unfortunate."

"I ordered take out. The wrap was tasty, but tiny. Also, the Acai bowl was tiny, but frozen? I guess I will have to stick with Jamba Juice. Who wants a frozen acai bowl? Im not even sure what to say."

"Went to this location with work friends for a quick lunch at 11:30am. It wasn’t busy. The place was clean and quiet. Ordering was easy and quick. Food delivery was good. I ordered the Breakfast peanut butter sandwich and a peanut butter cup smoothie. It was good."

"This turned out to be a little Tropical Storm Smoothie Cafe, with plenty of opportunities to learn and improve some things. I am excited for the possibilities here. They haven’t been open very long, and it seems apparent they are still figuring some things out. We had a limited-time Watermelon Mojito smoothie. They are flavorful and you can customize them, especially asking for less sugar or even doing a ginger substitute. The challenge here rests with the food items. We got the Beach Club salad with a side of maple glazed sweet potatoes, and things were okay, yet for the price, the portion was left wanting. We could get a better salad at a Wendy’s, but you would miss out on the sweet side dish. Next, we ordered a CaribbeanJerk Chicken wrap with a side of Jalapeño corn. The corn was tasty. The wrap tasted like rice with sauce. I opened the wrap to search for flavor and found about 4 small pieces of chicken. I showed the person at the counter and they said that they were learning. He would make another one for me. Well, the next wrap had more chicken and didn’t look anything like my other one. It was flavorful, and I mentioned that as I was leaving saying it was good but lacked any of the pineapple sauce, black beans, and cheese. He discovered that he mistakenly made a Thai Chicken wrap for me instead. I went back and got a new Caribbean wrap and it was really delicious. Added a picture too with the Kale & Apple Slaw. Check out the pictures. It would be nice to go back and try some other food items, but for now if you are looking for an $8 smoothie, this might be a good place. The smoothie goes down to $5 if you order a food item. You might find a coupon to try things or download the app for a free smoothie for your next visit."
