"Ordered omelette with sausage and veggies, along with wheat toast; eggs were from cracked eggs and not poured from carton; food was savory good, would have rated a 4 or better but they gave me burnt toast, really burnt toast and they didn't bother replacing it; omelette didn't come with hash browns, which would have been good to have, they should have suggested it; ordered cinnamon roll, which is fair to good, need more cinnamon flavor; service is poor, no greeting whatsoever even though the staff seen me but ignored I was there for over 5 minutes and they weren't waiting on other customers at the time. "Cinnamon rolls were great as they always are, but service was lacking. No greeting, She as too worried about the customers before me that she still paid attention to them after they walked away from the counter."

"Absolute worst experience EVER. Saturday afternoon, I had mentioned to my daughter that I had never even been inside The Straw Market, so she suggested that we stop there for lunch. Once inside, we saw a sign that stated ‘Lunch Special - chili, breadstick, drink, and a bakery item - $6’. We both decided to order the lunch special. That’s where the crazy started. The kid at the counter didn’t know how to ring in the special. The other kid came out from the kitchen to show him how and questioned what we meant by the $6 lunch special. We showed him the sign. He rung it in and went back to the kitchen. We paid for our meal and within minutes we were told they were out of chili, but they could give us potato soup instead. We agreed to that. We sat for 10-15 minutes but what we could hear them struggling to figure out what bowls to put the soup in. The kid at the register called the owner to ask what bowls to use and was told that the potato soup was for an order that night. We were made aware that they had no soup for us and asked what else we would want. We told them we wanted a refund. After getting our money, we took the bakery items we selected when we paid for our order and our sodas (the Dr. Pepper was out of order) and headed for home. When I unwrapped what we thought was a red velvet cookie (the kid at the counter had no idea what it was and nothing in the bakery display was labeled), I noticed the discoloration on the chocolate chips. I’m thinking this is what happens to chocolate when it gets old. That aside, we ate the cookie and the brownie because that’s all we got for our lunch. While eating the cookie, I noticed something in my mouth that was crunchy. WHAT?!? I dug it out of my mouth to find that it was egg shell!!! Never again will I go to The Straw Market. My college-aged son told me, “Mom, don’t ever buy anything that they make at The Straw Market, we only ever bought the pre-packaged stuff when we would go there back in high school.” Lesson learned!"

"First problem was taking 30 minutes to make a salad. 30 minutes. 1 salad. When i got my salad and quickly went back to work because my entire lunch break plus some was wasted waiting, i opened it and saw the poorest excuse of a salad ive ever seen. Turkey and ham thrown on taking up 40% of what was there. The salad tasted bad, and 20% of it was extremely thick mushrooms that were out of place and tasted awful. So little lettuce. gosh ive never regretted ordering something like this"
