"This school year marks the fifth year our children have been attending Noah Webster Academy, and we are still in love with this school. When our oldest child began approaching school age, my husband and I researched and visited several local private, charter, and traditional public school. After weeks of deliberation, we settled on Noah Webster Academy. One of the biggest selling points for us was that math and reading were separated into "ability groups." My husband was especially interested in this because as a youth, he had been held back in reading due to poorer performance in math, even though he was an exceptional reader. We liked the idea of our children being placed in subject groups based on their individual, rather than collective, performances. This has already proven helpful with our children. When our son was in kindergarten, his reading ability quickly improved from his initial assessment, and he was able to advance to a higher reading ability group. Conversely, our daughter at one point had a medical condition which necessitated her being absent from school several times. As a result, she fell behind in math. When she returned to school, she was able to transfer to another math ability group, which was the best fit for her as she caught up in math. Because her reading level had not been affected, she was able to stay in her same reading ability group. I have also seen Noah Webster Academy make modifications in curriculum based on research, showing that the school is more concerned with evidence-based practice rather than tradition when it comes to educating children. The board of directors and administration closely monitor test scores to ensure that the right decisions are being made in terms of curriculum and instruction. The school also incorporates The Leader in Me program. I have seen several positive attributes develop in my children as they have become aware of such principles as being proactive at home and school and thinking win-win in contentious situations. I truly enjoy interacting with the administration and teachers at Noah Webster Academy. I feel that the few times concerns and issues have arisen, I have been listened to sincerely and with respect, and solutions have been reached which work for everyone. The staff here truly care about my children, and all of the other "scholars" here. Another way this care is shown is reflected in the school's culture. There are monthly "spirit days" where students can dress up around a different theme, and there are family nights and student performances held throughout the year. I cannot say enough good things about Noah Webster Academy. It has felt like a second home for our family for the past several years, and we love it."

"We've had four children that are attending or have attended Noah Webster Academy. I love the administration, teachers and staff and truly feel like they all care deeply about student success. When they started ability grouping (smaller groups of kids at the same reading or math level) I had one child who was ahead in reading and one child who was behind. It was so wonderful to have each of them be able to be taught exactly what they needed! I also love the Seven Habits and Bucket Filling program. The teachers and administration really work hard to teach these great skills that will be helpful throughout each child's life."
