"This place is absolutely amazing! My daughter has been going there for almost 3 years now and she loves it. I just enrolled my 4 month old son in there too. All of the staff there are so great with both my kids so I know they are being well taken care of. My daughter is always well fed to she always has a full belly when I pick her up, they also helped me get her on a good napping schedule. The Halloween truck or treat to is always so fun we look forward to going every year. I would give this place 100 stars if I could they have just helped my life so much. The only downfall is that they have raised their prices a few times which has made it harder on us financially but my daughter loves going there so we make it work other than that so amazing."

"I think it’s unacceptable how your drivers go ahead and cut the line at school pick up every time they come and have no respect for all the other parents who are in line for pick up. This isn’t the first time this incident has happened."

"Some of the staff are awesome, some not so much. They do have field trips, but they are on a first come first serve basis, and are filled up by the same parents who snag every single date possible. There should be a limit on how many a parent may elect for per year. We ultimately left Sunshine because of the rate increases of nearly 30% each year over the last 2 years we had been there, with 2023 being an increase of $200 per month! Safety concerns: It took months for the administrators to address issues brought to their attention. Their front door would not stay closed for several months due to a faulty magnetic lock, and I had to call the state to report to get them to replace a missing a lug nut on a rear wheel of a passenger van they use to shuttle children from school to the facility. There was an instance where I was dropping off my son, and no staff were present at the front desk. A child, all of about 6 years old, opened the front door to the facility and let my son and myself in. There are no status updates as to how your child is doing, minimal interaction with the director (he does not like to deal with parents), and you are not allowed to go beyond the front desk unless you are on a scheduled tour, which allows them to hide anything going on beyond the reception desk. They used to be affordable for the area, but that is not the case anymore."

"We enrolled my 7 yo daughter at sunshine academy preschool last summer and it lasted exactly 1 day. The facility was dirty, kitchen was dirty, and the kids had to stay outside all day.. in 100°+ weather. When I went to do pick up no one was around and I had to wait at the front desk for 10 minutes, THEN daycare worker didn't even know who I was talking about when trying to sign her out and couldn't physically find her for a few minutes. She wasn't even in their system so ANYONE could have signed her out or she could have gone missing and no one would have known. When I finally saw her she was not her normal chipper self (she's been in daycare throughout her entire life so it wasn't a total shock to her). She told me she was kicked in the head and was bit by another child and when she brought it up to the staff they told her to "not tattle tail" and "stop acting like a baby". There were no activities and she walked around the backyard ALL day alone.She was hot, sunburned (we applied sunscreen before drop of but they never reapplied) and I could tell she was mentally exhausted. 0/10 do not recommend"

"My son Marcus has been with Sunshine Academy on 4000 West since he was 6 months of age, he will be turning 7 in March. This is a great place! They have an amazing playground, and help teach the preschool age kids what they need to know for Kindergarten, they even have homework to take home to help the kids get into the habit. They have field trips, and fun activities for the kids. They even hold a little graduation party when preschoolers go into Kindergarten. They hold trunk o treat during Halloween. They bus the school age kids to and from school in that area, which makes it great for me, I know Marcus will be getting to school on time, and well looked after. They communicate amazingly when Marcus is sick. Miranda and Paula are the best! Granted, with any business, you have had a run with both great and not so great employees, but the mgmt has always handled those situations swiftly. Their policies may be unconventional on some aspects, but what they have in place works for them to be able to focus more on the kids, and make it safe for all who works there. Communication, understanding, and time is all you need to have a great relationship with the staff. I would recommend this place to anyone. My son loves it there! And will be there until he can no longer be there due to age, or we move away."
