"a student from the 2012-13 6th grade year. and if anyone from that time remembers. it was terrible.i guess things have not changed in 5 years. i would get bullied, harassed, and assaulted at least every day, people would hit me in the halls, push me against lockers until i was scared to move, eventually i was afraid to even go to school in the mornings. i hope that a Mrs. Twila Hester reads this reply, as you told me in your office when i was only 11 that i would never amount to anything when you suspended me for being attacked by 4 football players because they said i attacked them. ONE OF THEM HAD A BAT. and you were wrong Hester. i am a successful student. you shouldve been fired for the way you treated kids."
"I've been to Henfer before, and it was not the best school.. The education was alright, but not the best either. There's almost fights everyday and drama, and you only have 3 minutes to get to your class when it should of been 5 minutes. The food was gross that I felt like I was gonna throw up after eating some of the foods. Some of the teachers treated you as if a little 3rd grader, even to the most mature ones. But you would have to be lucky to get good teachers that actually teacher. I had a substitute in the end of 2nd semester that didn't know how to do math, and everytime I asked him, he would only point out the answers because he didn't know how to do math. Soo that was bad.. And I promise you, a lot of rumors and gossiping SPREADS like a fire cracker. Now I tried to stay away from all of fights, drama and such, but they were always spreading to me as well- embarrassing things like some girl got pregrent, she or he threw up, a fight, kinda embarrassing though, no one doesn't really like it, but it always happens uncontrollably. It happens again and again. I don't have any experience of getting into a fight or dealing with a teacher. But I've always seen or hearing something that has happened. I don't know if you want to send your kids here parents, or if you're going to be a student, I'm not too sure if this is the best place to gooo..but it's up to you. The only thing I thought was good about it, was anime club. There's friendly people, pretty open minded, no fights at all, and It's a pretty good place to hang around after school on Wednesdays, only if your interested. I'm sorry it's quite long but there's a LOT in Henfer."
"This school was great when i was here for 6th and 7th grade but the new principal is garbage. All he wants is people to feel "safe". If i was supposed to feel safe, why did i go online schooled? I'm warning y'all, if you're thinking of going here, don't. Just don't. It's not a good place if you're shy because the teachers force you to do things that you don't wanna do. I've seen multiple people start crying because they were too nervous to do something, but the teacher still forced them to do it or gave them a zero. d o n ' t g o h e r e"
"This school is turning into an Oklahoma county district school. We are truly disgusted with the fights constantly going on in this school. Kids making harmful threats to other kids, that as an adult we would face jail time for. We have called the school about nasty little boys spreading rumors about girls. Boys trying to harm daughters. We are disgusted with the continuation of harassment and bullying and threats being made to our daughter and the school staff not stepping up to take care of this. Contacting the board of education, calling the police and filing charges of our daughters and her friends if harmed and getting lawyers involved will be the last step to this ridiculous disgusting school. We were told how great this school was. It’s a joke, it’s a lie. They have done nothing to show that they are taking threats seriously. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL EVER! Do research before letting your kids go to this soon to be ghetto prison! Cause that is what it’ll be soon enough if the school doesn’t turn it around with the administrative’s that are in charge."
"If I can give this school no stars I would. My daughter, who is the sweetest kid, was harassed and bullied ALL THROUGH 6-8th. Her teachers would witness and did nothing. For all of her 6th grade - the bully sat next to her - would take her cell phone to use and text in the morning and wouldn't' give back until right before school ended. A bunch of kids would pick on her - probably because she wouldn't fight back - but they would say things about her weight, about her mix culture, what she was wearing, etc. What is wrong with this school? They do a lousy job to educate but to also do nothing to protect our children? She never told me because she KNEW I would say and do something and she feared that would only make matters worse. She was hoping the teachers would do something but instead they would move her to another class or desk. Sadly this did nothing to stop the behavior. By the time she was in high school her self esteem was demolished and she was suicidal. If you can home school your child or send them to another school with better administrators, then I encourage you to do so. POST NOTE: because my daughter is raised in a loving and encouraging environment, she was able to foster through online classes and not deal with the continued bullying in high school. She went to college and is happily successful today. She openly talks about the various situations and how the teacher would stand right there and do nothing. Atleast when she talks about it today, she doesn't cry. The low class does come out. The bad upbringing does come out. But while there - you would think the teachers would take the opportunity to produce better students - not just try to meet test scores and PROTECT THESE KIDS - because hello, there are antibullying laws!"
