"While other classic Tulsa diners and eating establishments around town (all supposedly famous for their chicken fried steaks) are scrimping on quality cuts of meat these days, this is NOT the case at Nelson's. Nelson's consistently churns out the absolute BEST chicken fried steak in Tulsa and IMO, the state of Oklahoma. Period. You know what else they have the best of in the state? Fried chicken (Wednesdays only) and catfish (Fridays only). The mashed potatoes and gravy are always on point, as well as their other sides, mac and cheese, cabbage, green beans, etc. Even the garden salad with ranch is delish. Crisp and fresh, with just enough tomatoes and onions. The pies are always awesome, as well as their chocolate cake. The servers, owners, cashier, and line help are all wonderful, friendly and kind."

"What a jewel in Tulsa! Great cafeteria style food with amazing efficiency. Within 30 minutes, we had waited in line, received our food, eaten, and paid. Just amazing. The chicken fried steak did not disappoint!"
"First time going today. I’ve been missing out! Go here when you are really hungry because they give you plenty of food, and it’s hard to stop eating it’s so good. We got the spaghetti, cabbage, green beans, rolls & the pan fried steak, mashed potatoes, baked beans, and jalapeño cornbread. We cleaned our plates ☺️"
