"It’s a great school if your were born and bred in Burkburnett and you don’t mind teachers relying on IPads and Google to teach your kids. It’s also great if coach Nix pays for your family to move to Burk when recruited to play basketball. He also covers your rent and bails your kid out of jail when arrested for drugs. So the perks are definitely there. Most of the faculty graduated from Burk and supports poor quality of teaching and abuse of authority. Nix controls what the superintendent and principals do as they are as spineless as a jellyfish. If you’re military, do your best to attend a different school district. Your kids will most likely not be accepted. I have 3 kids that can attest to it as well as a half dozen who have left the school due to bullying and one committing suicide. Hope this helps."

"My wife went here. She told me about the high amounts of racial discrimination in the school by both teachers & students. It's actually a powerful coincidence that there's a sundown town called Iowa park not farm from burkburnett."
