"I really wanted to love Ted's because of the service and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. The entre portions were small and the main ingredient, shrimp or fish, was pretty sparse (8 pieces of small shrimp for 2 tacos), the Mexican rice was dry and the entire dish was extremely salty. One of the shining lights was the $4 Margarita, which was pretty good and huge for the price. However, the margarita was second to our awesome server, Anthony, who still managed to serve plates with a broken arm. The entire staff was great to include the managers. We were even surprised treated to complimentary sopapilla after the meal. We were offered complimentary homemade tortillas that came with the entre, but we declined. As I stated before, I really wanted to like the restaurant, but if I go back, it would be solely for the margaritas and the awesome staff."
"We really liked Ted's Escondido. We've made the 1 hour drive from Wichita Falls multiple times now because this is our preferred Mexican/TexMex place. Do yourself a favor and try the food at Ted's!"
"The tortillas and queso are amazing. The service was excellent. BUT… my table and another table, which had about 10 people sitting at it, got our food within 15 minutes of ordering. That sounds awesome but our food was definitely not cooked fresh. You can tell that it sits for a while and then they serve it almost like they make it ahead of time. It tasted like leftovers. My fajitas did not come out sizzling like they’re supposed to. The meat was a little tough. Our food wasn’t even hot. It’s like it was just sitting under a heat lamp or something. It wasn’t even that warm. The tamales were supposed to be homemade, but I’ve had plenty of homemade tamales and this was not homemade. I don’t think I’ll be going back."
"Being from Georgia, Mexican food is a must while traveling because you can't go wrong there! First off, our waiter (Elliott) was nothing short of AMAZING! He was very tentative, friendly, and we joked around because he's an Kentucky football fan and GAvsKY is today. The food is great! I was going to post pictures of everything, but it was so good that, I forgot until after eating it all! If you are in the Lawton/Fort Sill area, Ted's is definitely worth visiting! When you go, ask for Elliott!"
