Samurai of Tokyo

"I will never understand why a restaurant - or ANY business - hires and puts in place hostesses who are unfriendly and/or unprofessional. It makes zero sense to me. Samurai has been the go-to hibachi experience in Wichita Falls for nearly ever. They have amazing food. The rice especially stands out. That is the best rice I've ever had the opportunity to scarf down. Our waitress was ADORABLE! She was absolutely perfect. If I remembered her name, I would most definitely include it here. (She had dark hair and a really nice smile, if that helps (she's in the photo with the drum)) In all the years of dining at Samurai, I don't recall having a bad waitress. The cook was great too - funny and social. He acknowledged all of us and made us feel welcome. But the hostess. Why? Why would you have a rude hostess? I just don't get it. The face, hair, sloppy attire, and holier than thou attitude when you walk in the door is off-putting. I've been eating there longer than she's been alive, yet she has the audacity to treat me, my family, and other customers like they are intruding. I would consider putting someone who is warm, welcoming, and friendly in that position."

"I visit this hibachi restaurant a few times a year when I’m in town seeing family. It’s a GREAT value for how much food you get and the experience of seeing your food (rice, protein, veggies) cooked in front of you is always a plus. I don’t know what they put in their sauce for their fried rice and veggies but it is the reason why I keep coming back here. I only go when they first open at 11; otherwise the wait times are insanely long due to how popular this restaurant is."

"We had a nice time at Samurai of Tokyo. The wait wasn’t too long (they don’t like to seat groups until you are all there together, so plan accordingly). Our waiter was very attentive and did a fine job. The front of the hibachi cooktops need some attention, a all that I saw had old old that had dropped and spilled on them. The food is always tasty and you rarely leave hungry. This is a popular birthday destination as they beat the drum no less than five times while we were there. If you’re looking for a nice and quiet evening with a date, this is not your place. If you want to enjoy some fun with others, and meet some new folks, then this is home base. Always a fun time!"
