"Young woman Ignored me as I greeted her and placed my items on the counter, and again when I said thank you. Also a young man was counting my visits during a day ( I was staying at the hotel next door ) very unsettling, and unprofessional. I will be going across the street to caseys from now on. Management should take note. stop hiring rude people..Its actually costing you money. this is not a tourist destination, and you really cant rely on your business model of " they have no other option so we can treat them as bad as we want. " Im a professional driver who is in town a dozen times a year for wind energy projects. I will take my business to the pump and pantry from now on."
"Corner stores/ Truck stops are usually suppose to be welcoming and accommodating. Especially for a truck driver or someone who works in the transportation industry and has been driving all day and all night. The much older woman working here sure doesn't seem to be very welcoming and especially not at all accommodating. I just wanted to reheat my sandwich in the microwave.. But no outside food is allowed, it's what she said. I guess it's for the cold Deli sandwiches they sell."
"I never used to have an issue with the food or service here when I lived in town, but apparently things have gone downhill since then. We stopped in on our way home over Easter weekend to get food. The person working the food counter was washing dishes when we came in. She turned and saw us waiting at the counter, then went back to what she was doing for a couple minutes before she acknowledged us. My wife wanted a grilled cheese sandwich and was told "well, it's on the menu, but we don't make them". We ended up settling for a small order of potato wedges because that's all that had been made that my wife could eat and it was clear that no more of them were going to be made anytime soon. We also had to wait several minutes before we could pay for what we bought because there was only one person working the counter and he was busy with another issue. I hope that what we experienced was an isolated issue because it was a holiday weekend, but it sounds like others have had the same issue as us before as well."
