"The Fir House may be a vacation home, but it feels like home. The owners' attention to details continued to impress throughout our stay. Everything about The Fir House is about comfort. The master bed is like a cloud, the kitchen has every appliance one could need, the furniture is great for visiting, lounging, or napping. The elevated wraparound deck is a great place to take in views, breakfast, grilling, and more visiting. There aren't many better ways to start the day than with a cup of coffee watching the sun rise while breathing the crisp mountain air from the deck. The decor is both tasteful and cozy. Bears are the main motif, and it feels like a gaming finding how many bear knick-knacks are in each room. Everything fits perfectly in its setting. Everything is spotless and feels "new." It's how home should be. It's hard to believe The Fir House is only about 20 minutes from Denver. While there, the business of big city life seems a world away. However the museums and other attractions of the metro area are easily accessible, the beauty being how quick the escape back to the comfort of the house is. We hope to re-escape to the Fir House soon!"
