"Caution with gift card/certificate/ money added to account!!! They do not honor gift certificates after 1 year. No notice, no phone or written warning on the receipt. My father lives out of state and sent us money to be held there via an account gift card. No conversation about expiration at all and nothing citing this stipulation on the receipt. We were waiting for the perfect rock. When we tried to redeem the several hundred dollars to purchase that rock, they were rude and dismissive, unprofessional, insulting saying my Father doesn't know how to follow directions. This was frustrating for all of us. The federal cc act of 2009 is in place to protect patrons like us in this scenario. We finally got our money, but we will never support these shady business practices. Bummer that their greed overshadowed what could've been good business practices. Being in a small town there isn't much competition for them which makes this even more sad."

"I bought soil from Durango nursery as I do every year and this year it killed all my plants! They knowingly sold me contaminated soil and told me if I have any problems to come back for a refund which I did and they would not honor their word of returning it. They asked for further proof of purchase (bank statements) which I came with and STILL is not good enough! Although I’m proving my purchase they are telling me since they can’t find it in their system they can’t refund me! Although I have have bank of Colorado statements totaling the exact amount of the soil I purchased and showing Durango nursery and the purchase date and ever! Still not good enough because the new manager don’t know how to do her job and can’t verify my purchase! I guess I’m a lier and so is bank of Colorado…. Me and the company I work with will not be shipped here again! Thanks for taking advantage of a Durango home owner and a loyal customer"

"Purchased numerous trees from the nursery and they were happy to take my money however when it came to standing behind their product they failed miserably. Made promises and would not keep them. I have made my last purchase there."

"Got lots of pleasant help. Lots of species in various colors and textures, all robust. Clean, organized grounds. Dogs okay on leash. Not cheap; noticed no deals. Used punch card to save $50. Cannot understand being closed on Mem Day. Didn't have trailing tomatoes for baskets. I know shrubs purchased here will thrive in my yard."
