"If I could give the provider a 5, I would - which is why it's a 2 not a 1. My overall experience became a nightmare because the staff did not know how to process a Primary and Secondary insurance. I had contacted the office by phone (which sent me to VM more times than I can count). It wasn't until I sent an email did I get contacted. A month later after being told the billing office would handle the error on their part (BCBS is my Primary and UHC is my Secondary). Due to the error on the office part, the billing put UHC as my primary and BCBS as my secondary, they both kept denying the claim due to the discrepancy on the office part. When I had called back I was told -I- had to take care of the miscommunication. When speaking with the Insurance Companies, it was found the Dr. Office is at fault for not putting the information correctly. Due to this I am caught in the middle of the Battle of the Insurances and Doctor office. Also, not only did the medical office put in the wrong insurance in order, they also put in the wrong Provider I had seen. It has been a huge mess and instead of taking fault and fixing the mistake they made they put it on me to handle. In addition, whenever coming into the office, the front staff was neither courteous or friendly, I had to apologize for bugging the front staff while she was on her phone 5 Star for Alyssa Coleman however, she was/is very sweet and kind. Very attentive. She also sent a referral to the referral coordinator for a GI specialist due to my history - and 2 months later, almost 3, I had still not received a call from the office I was referred to. I was also told to contact the GI office themselves. If you only have 1 insurance, and don't need a referral - this place is for you. I am disappointed that it has come to this, as due to my health history I am in need of a Doctor's office where it shouldn't be only the Provider cares. I will not be coming back here and warn others to not as well. I am a fairly patient person. Being a Medical Assistant before I understand how much pressure a healthcare facility is under. Never in my time have I ever dealt with this kind of service, nor have I ever had a Billing Professional demand that the consumer call the insurance company due to their own error."

"This place humiliated me in front of a lobby full of people! I had made an appt at the clinic on Thursday, August 10th at 8:30. While registering online and setting up the appt, one of the first things the system asked was if I had ever been there before and what insurance I had. When I stated I was on medicaid and i was a new patient, a note popped up and said "good news, we are now accepting new patients with medicaid...". I work nights, so after working a very long night shift, I went to the office at 8:30 for my appt. I was in the lobby filling out my paperwork on their tablet and could barely keep my eyes open I was so tired. Then after all of that the receptionist came out and asked me what insurance I had - like she didn't already know...? When I told her medicaid she said " oh, we aren't taking any new medicaid patients over the age of 18 right now". I couldn't believe it!! I'm not an idiot, and this had nothing to do with me being over 18 - the receptionist is a horrible liar! The doctors looked out in the lobby and decided they didn't want to see me. They even let me fill out the paperwork completely before refusing to see me. This was descrimination plain and simple!! I'm in desperate need of a pcp and I've put off finding a doctor for so long. When I finally do, they look at me in the lobby and refuse to see me! These people made me feel horrible. It was humiliating being turned away, and in front of a lobby full of people. It's extremely unprofessional! No one should have to go through this at a doctors office! They are supposed to help people, not make them feel like a low life that's not worth seeing! With everything else that's going on in my life right now, that's exactly what I needed!! Thank you very much!!"

"I started taking my children here 14 years ago. I then became a patient. This is a great clinic and though we have moved two hours away, we drive here for care. Shawna Karmen is amazing. We love the care we receive."

"Excellent visit. Garrett was awesome and really listened to my concerns and how I was feeling. Everyone was personable and professional. The appointment started on time and the follow up was in the time frame i was told it would be. I will recommend this clinic to family and friends and will continue primary care here. Thank you!!"
