"Dr. Marina Bachurina (aka Dr. "B", aka The Disappearing Doctor) and her nurse Christina have been confoundingly negligent in providing care for my mother with dementia, who has been a patient at Julia Temple rehab center for 7 weeks. Under their care, my mother's thyroid medication was discontinued without notice. It took multiple calls to every level of the organization (RMSC and Julia Temple) to get my mother's thyroid medication reinstated more than a week later. Nor was the family, including myself as her POA for healthcare, notified that the medication was stopped, despite a legal requirement to do so. The fact that the lapse was discovered at all was fortuitous and likely life-saving. No competent medical staff would discontinue a patient's thyroid medication that has been taken daily for their entire adult life. The side effects of discontinuing the medication for even a week can include blood clots, coma, heart attack, stroke, vision problems, and a host of other issues, many irreversible. When I asked Dr. B why the decision was made to stop the thyroid medication, she agreed it wasn't the right decision but chalked it up to living in an imperfect world. Dr. B also discontinued "cold turkey" a psychotropic medicine my mother was on, despite well established guidance that such medications should be tapered off to prevent withdrawal symptoms like suicidal ideation, which my mother subsequently experienced. Following that, it took a week for Dr. B to start my mother on an antibiotic for a UTI, during which time my mother was in constant pain and discomfort. Dr. B told me she would take care of it days earlier, but did not, and likely would not have had I and others not reached out (again) to nearly everyone at RMSC and JT. (Dr. B had stopped taking my calls -- and apparently many other peoples' calls -- days earlier.) For the past five days my mother has been complaining of chest pain, but attempts to get a response, examination, or treatment from The Disappearing Doctor have gone unanswered. More than once has Dr. B said she would show up to check on my mother, and to meet myself or my family, and not done so. I can't speak to the quality of other medical staff at RMSC, but Dr. Bachurina and her nurse Christina should be avoided at all costs."

"Jill S.who is a PA-C, is an Angel in disguise. I can’t speak for the whole company, because I’ve only dealt with Jill. Jill has been extremely responsive, professional, and caring in the care of my mother who is in an independent living facility. Jill has always responded to my mothers calls quickly. She answers my mothers questions with easily understood answers and allays her fears when necessary. She is the best."

She was such a Godsend after what we had been through with two previous companies who would not return my calls so that I could get test results and discuss medical concerns about my mom (I was POA). Neither treated when lab tests showed a very serious and life-threatening condition, she was hospitalized and we almost lost her twice!
