"Horrible service by front desk lady, decided to go to a minute clinic in order to get away from her attitude."

"I get my medical and dental care here and I can't say enough good things. I've seen Mary in dental the most. She is delightful, caring and has taught me so much about proper oral hygiene techniques and tools. I've also seen adult nurse practitioner Callie who was dutiful in investigating unusual symptoms and seeking solutions. The support staff for appointments, etc. have been helpful."

"My rating is historical. I retired from Mines 9 years ago. I administered the health clinic, the counseling center, the dental clinic, student disability services, and the student health insurance program. By in my day, the health center was rated as "excellent' in care, and recognized nationally as a model for student healthcare. I am not surprised by the reviews here. Sadly, Mines has chosen to pursue an approach to student services that is embraced by some of the "Ivy's." As far as it goes, that approach is to recruit the best, provide top quality academic services (academic advising, career exploration, tutoring, supplemental education in basic courses, and/or a required first-year course, taught by faculty to enlighten but not market to, freshmeat, to get 90+% to graduation. Those services are relatively cheap, compared to the professional salaries needed to truly fund effective physical and mental health services in 2023. As the media has accurately portrayed, health services, and especially, mental health services, on college campuses is of deep concern. Mines, I am sorry to say, was extremely late to the challenges of health to Mines' students. The message delivered to the leader of Student Life (name is important here, except to say that his/her vision was from a Student LIfe perspective; i.e. sell students/parents as much as you can to make great money for my department!) was to recruit, build building to house them, that they will like, and feed them so they do not complain as much, about the food. No more beer... Mines leadership bought into the SL leader's mantra, but finally saw that it was "made of straw," hiring people does not always improve services to students, but only increases the budget for you, as vp, to allocate otherwise. My apologies, this is super long!"

"In my first day at work I encounter a bicycle accident. It was a non emergency situation but I was in real pain with scratches in my fingers with raptured skin, and scratches in my knee and elbow. The lady at office refused to offer any first aid, rather I was told to go and set an appointment, because it was lunch break."

"Nicole is a dangerously negligent doctor that treats her patients like lab rats. She went on vacation, forgot to prescribe my SSRI, and I went through months of dissociative, suicidal withdrawal that caused brain zaps. Extremely rude and misleading regarding many mental health issues. The counseling center is unhelpful in crisis situations and sends students home with a slip of paper and a crisis line number rather than providing support. No counselors are available to meet on a regular basis, and as a result they provide unhelpful and impersonal care that always made me feel worse. For a school with an exceptionally high rate of suicide, the mental health services are utterly incompetent."
