"Absolutely Unprofessional. NOT Veteran Run, as advertised. As the daughter of a Veteran, I find this appalling. I've gone here several times since I adopted my dog a year ago. There's never been an instance where there wasn't an issue, but today takes the cake. She should absolutely go out of business. Mar 4. 1st visit I had never been to a groomer before, because I'd always had hounds, but after adopting a poodle, I realized I needed professional help. Her coat wasn't super matted or anything but she came back shaved with the hair on her face cut very short even though I requested a "teddy bear" cut. She requested 4 hours for the dog (and that she would be closing so don’t be late), so I ran some errands in town and hung out in the parking lot waiting so I wouldn't be. When I went in after 4 hours she wasn't even remotely ready. It ended up being another 3 hours so I basically wasted my whole day. I got back a dog that wasn’t shaped just cut very closely, but I guess I figured I must have asked for what I wanted wrong. She also "lost" a brand new $30 bag of greenies I had gone out of my way to get for her that morning to make it easier to work with my dog. July 6. I was sure to mention leaving the hair on her face longer, since it grows so much slower, and to give a "Teddy Bear" face even if she had to cut the body shorter. We had a pretty long conversation about it, and she assured me she knew what I meant. She returned my dog to my husband completely shaved with a mop on top of her head. Um, okay, but at least she was clean. I “fixed” it at home. She was dropped off at noon and we were told to come back at 4:00. Again, that turned into another half hour wait. Aug 16. 10:30 appointment. She texted me at 7:16 am telling me about multiple abscessed teeth. At least she bothered to cancel before I drove down the mountain. Dec 1. I left a message Nov 22 asking for an appointment. Knowing it was holiday time, I didn’t really expect an immediate call back, but it took her till Nov.30, saying she had avail tomorrow, 930. Okay see you then. .. or not. I took the hour off work it takes me to drive down the mtn and back up and was there just before 930. There’s a note on the door about perhaps not being open due to car issues. So I’m a little confused, since well I just talked to her yesterday, she has my number and it doesn’t exactly say their closed, but if they are that you need to reschedule. Huh?? I texted her to no answer. Called my husband in frustration who suggested I call her till she picks up. So I do. On the 5th time I call, I leave a message. A minute later I get a message that she is on the phone with Roadside assistance and she will need to reschedule. So I guess the note on the door premeditated that she wouldn’t make it?? I had already expressed my displeasure about driving down there for no reason and having to take off work on my VM and told her she should listen to it and that I found this to be incredibly unprofessional. I might have even gone back later…after all there aren’t many options up here… BUT, she responded without any apology for not contacting me and telling me she had no control over what happened, that I shouldn’t expect accountability, because the business hasn’t been Veteran run in 3 years, BUT SHE IS STILL ADVERTISING IT IS, additionally she was sorry that I “FEEL’ this way. Um. Thus. This."

"We had an AMAZING experience at Happy Pups. We have a Labradoodle and grooming has always been nerve wracking because of matting, etc. The staff were super helpful and kind and took a TON of time brushing our pup out. He came home feeling so loved and pampered and he looks GREAT. We will definitely be back and would 100% recommend Happy Pups Grooming."
