"I originally saw Dr. Oro 5 years ago when I was first diagnosed with Chiari. A few years later I saw Dr. Stephen. During those visits I was still figuring out if I was prepared to have my decompression surgery or not. Earlier this year I decided the timing was right and went ahead and scheduled a consult with Dr. Buchanan. At the consult Dr. Buchanan was very helpful, he really took his time in the consult and I never felt rushed. I really felt he listened to my concerns. He answered any questions I had and discussed the surgery in-depth with me. I knew I was good hands and felt confident with my decision to have surgery. Honestly, every doctor I have met with at the Chiari Institute over the years has been wonderful. Dr. Buchanan has certainly carried on that exceptional level of care. The surgery itself went extremely well, including the days I spent recovering in the hospital afterwards. I was very well cared for at The Medical Center of Aurora. I also really appreciated Caroline and Dr. Buchanan checking in during that time. Now 2 months post op, I can truly say this surgery has changed my life for the better. My recovery has gone great and anytime I have had questions or concerns Caroline was always quick to help. I will forever be grateful for Dr. Buchanan, Caroline and everyone else that assisted with my care at the Chiari Institute and The Medical Center of Aurora. This is a major chapter of my life closing now and I am beyond thankful that I had such a caring medical team there for me during this time."

"I really can’t find the words to show adequate appreciation to Dr. Stephens and everyone at the Colorado Chiari Institute. From my first phone call with Tammy just learning how the referral process works, I instantly knew I was finally in competent and caring hands.
