"My partner did a sleep study there weeks ago and we are still doing with the aftermath of their absolutely appalling organization and communication skills. After being told insurance would cover everything, we were still served a ~$250 bill which we paid immediately through our insurance carrier. We have since been chased weekly by CSI to settle the bill despite having made a full payment. We ended up voiding our insurance payment so we could pay them directly and be left alone. Turns out the portal through which you are supposed to pay is down. You can't make that stuff up. It takes a a lot of effort to have such poor Google Review Rating but our experience has been consistent with everything else which is reported here. Save yourself a stressful experience and just avoid the place."

"They kept sending me bills saying they were not paid. I would check with my insurance, United healthcare, and the go-between, rally pay, that said those bills for those dates of service were paid. I would explain it to the offshore office that they have contracted for their call center, give them all this data and be promised to get a call back which never happened. I gave them the reference number to call rally pay to see where the confusion is because that is between them. And as far as I can tell they have never called them. The accounting department that takes care of the medical provider billing is different than the accounting department that takes care of the medical supplies billing. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing and the offshore folks handling accounts, if you can understand them, don't have a clue whatsoever. So after weeks of being threatened of being sent to collections I kept dealing with it, with the last letter after dealing with it last month saying they are sending me to collections, I have now overpaid them. Overpaying by a few hundred dollars I guess is better than being sent to collections? Like settling out of court? They sent me my medical records because I told them I'm going to go find another care provider because of all these reasons and not one person has bothered to call to try to resolve or deal with it. I will let the dust settle and then the next review will be with the better Business bureau. Or Colorado DORA I guess."

"Strongly advise going to another sleep center or an actual pulmonologist that will look at your case individually. They have a doctor on staff that doesn't actually meet with you or talk to you about your case, but copy/pastes a note on your chart that is generic and not specific to you (and not what was discussed in your actual appointment with the PA). For instance- the note recommended weight loss for someone who weighs under 100 pounds. It took 6 months of calls and emails to have the office staff reach back out and it was blamed on staffing issues, the physician refused to talk with me even though she had documented on my chart her recommendations."

"If you have the option for sleep care anywhere else, take it. First, I rarely leave negative reviews; I try to resolve issues with actual human beings, but this place has been an abysmal and disappointing experience from the start. It took over a year to get a sleep study done in house, and at the time, they blamed it on Covid (this was 2021). So, I let the fact that my doctors had to routinely badger them (and the fact that the Institute misplaced/forgot their initial “order”) slide somewhat. But here, at the end of 2023, it just seems like this place is grossly incompetent. It took months after the study to get fitted for a machine, they input a wildly incorrect number in for my weight (leading the reviewer of my study to blame part of my apnea on obesity—which I am very much not), and there has been terrible communication about my therapy, supplies, etc. ever since. Someone even set up my patient portal wrong so I couldn’t access notes or information for MONTHS. Just last week I received a “demand letter” bill of $3000, with zero explanation and zero bills prior. I am now told it’s to buy the machine outright because I’m not in compliance—but NOWHERE on this bill was this explained (I was also told over the summer that I HAD met my compliance, so zero clue as to why that changed). I called and left a message a week ago with no returned call. I finally reached a human today but had to be transferred from the billing department twice to only be told billing was the department that could explain things. Can you see the smoke from my ears yet? A perfect example of what communication at this place is like. I’m now waiting for a call back from the in-house billing department to explain things. At this point I can’t stomach the thought of having to go through the entire literally years-long process AGAIN to get my insurance to cover it, and frankly would love to wash my hands clean of this place. Do better, Colorado Sleep Institute. Judging by the other reviews of this place, I am hardly the only patient struggling."

"The staff at the sleep institute are friendly, helpful, and professional. However, I agree with many here that the outsourcing of calls to India is a BIG mistake and a huge problem causing them many bad PR ratings. The woman I spoke to was so rude and demanding that I told her I would not speak to her again and hung up on her. Those calls reflect on the business and they should pay attention and address it if they care about their ratings."
