About the Business

Colorado Early Colleges Parker (CECP) is a tuition-free public charter high school located at 10235 Parkglenn Way in Parker, Colorado. We welcome all students in the Douglas County area, offering both full-time enrollment and part-time enrollment options for homeschool and non-public school students.
We are excited to announce that for the 2024-2025 school year, our CEC Parker campus will be merging with our CEC Inverness campus to become CEC Douglas County North at the Inverness location. This merge will allow us to provide the highest level of learning programs possible to students in the area.
At CECP, our campus culture is caring, inclusive, and focused on creating confident, lifelong learners. We assess each student academically and provide them with the opportunity to start working on college-level courses as soon as they are ready.
Our Food Services program is committed to providing delicious and balanced meals through our Farm-to-School meal program, using fresh, locally-sourced foods to support student academic success. Additionally, our Transportation Services operate 16 buses with multiple routes and stops along the Front Range to ensure students can travel to and from school safely.

Reviews
"CECP has been a GREAT school for my son. He has thrived in this smaller school setting and has been happy to go to school with like-minded students who want to learn. And the fact that he is taking college classes along with his regular high school classes, he is going to graduate with his diploma and will be very close to getting his associates degree. GREAT staff and a few growing pains (no lockers, small parking lot, limited special needs services)."
"After attending several schools, hoping for the right fit, we have found it at CECP! I have two students attending this year and they are challenged and happy here. The opportunity to earn college credits is something that has helped my kids set goals and look toward the future. They don't have to decide on their career path, but are given a solid foundation and the tools to succeed in higher learning. There is an expectation of good behavior, genuine effort and common courtesy at CECP that surpasses other schools. How much you get involved in the school community depends on the individual student, but there are many opportunities. Our family is here to stay."
"I graduated in 2018 from CECP and am incredibly thankful for the opportunities it gave me- where else would I be able to get my Associates Degree at 17? CECP gave me many amazing friends and experiences that I would not have gotten at a regular high school. I am now well on my way to a Bachelor's thanks to this school! I will admit that CECP has plenty of problems, mostly growing pains. The school grew very quickly and outgrew what it could realistically handle but they always did their best to handle it. Many people went to CECP expecting a normal experience, which is exactly what you are not going to get. Complaints of not having a library or gym are valid, but as a student here you are also given full access to these resources at Arapahoe Community College. The complaint of no sports teams or clubs is also answered with the fact that they are cooperative with a student doing these with other schools. Shockingly, the school is focused on academics, which is something that I expect from a school. It was refreshing to not have a constant barrage of sports, sports, sports, and instead have a focus on the learning. My main complaints against the school are the high rate of staff turnover and the students. Staff were frequently replaced, I graduated after 3 years with only about 10 of the original staff left, which made me sad because I had amazing teachers over the years. This also lead to quite a few inconsistencies with rule enforcement. If you were a more "popular kid" you could get away with whatever you wanted, but the second I wore a hat because it was freezing outside I would get in trouble. The first year I attended, it was the schools second year of operation, and thus it was quite small, and it was fantastic. Unfortunately, over the next few years there was an increase in immature students. Recently, there has a been a push by these students to leave 1 star reviews for this school because they asked for positive reviews. Many businesses do this, and it seems fair that the school can to, but the students can't seem to grow up and accept that they have been given an amazing opportunity to put themselves ahead in life, This school is very much what you make of it, and it can be an absolutely amazing experience."
"This school has been such an amazing blessing in my life. I have struggled to get by in regular large high schools until I came here. I enrolled the first year they opened and I felt like I had my own little family. Every student was so nice and welcoming regardless of their background. Everyone always had a positive vibe. The teachers really genuinely care about your well being and get to know you on a one-on-one basis. I am able to graduate this spring with my associates from acc without paying a dime. They do have guidelines about how you go about things but every school does. This is a school for people who want to better themselves, not those who want to mess around and don't care about their academics. If you can agree to put the work in you can get so far ahead. Graduating so young with college credits will look great on future college applications as well as job applications. They are a new school but I was still able to participate in homecoming, spirit days, prom, and creating the yearbook. It is a small school but has so much to offer."
"This school has been and continues to be such a blessing to me. I am a junior and have already completed three college courses. When I graduate in spring 2017 I will have close to 40 college credits taken care of free to me! The administration at CECDC is amazing and goes above and beyond to make the best better for their students. Most of the teachers are very helpful and are almost always willing to give up their lunch and planning period to help students succeed. Early Colleges is by no means an "easy school" the challenges placed before you academically are very challenging yet incredibly important to help oneself reach their highest potential. This school is not for everyone and that's okay, but if you would like to consider obtaining a higher education in high school and you are ready for the challenge in front of you...Colorado Early Colleges just might be the school for you."
