Stir Cooking School

"Had a wonderful evening at stir cooking. Learned how to properly wield a knife! We had to reschedule this session twice. Once due to a scheduling conflict, the second due to weather. Tonight’s session was a gluten free menu - and believe me - I’m not a fan of gluten free - but all of tonight’s recipes were delicious! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice mixed drink options at the bar. Plenty of food to take home - bring your Tupperware to take home some wonderful food."

"Disappointed. This was a Christmas gift and I was super excited. Had my "class" today. First off, unfortunately, there is no class. I was looking for more of a culinary experience. I spent literal weeks pouring over the options for classes. I picked one based on the things I wanted to learn. Don't get me wrong, the staff and people I met were lovely. The people at my table were awesome but everyone had the same impression; "What is happening," and "this is not what we expected." We all know how to cut vegetables and throw them in a pan....we were looking for more than our normal kitchen experience. No intro no explanation, nada. Brief overviews table to table of what to basically throw in the pan, and when, but no comprehensive this is what we are working on now, or this is the spice, this is the this, or this is how you should do a, b, c, d...etc...Everything felt very undercooked. I came home and baked the meatloaf for another half hour. Based on some of the other "classes" I was planning on coming back but after my experience today it was a one and done. If this experience was an anomaly I'd love to know others' experiences and maybe give it another try? I met nice people at my table but was really looking forward to an actual culinary class based on the price."

"Chef Camille was awesome as was the entire staff! My adult kids and I had an absolute blast the entire night! The staff was exceptionally welcoming and allowed us to just have fun, learn and have a great family night cooking really good food! I'd definitely schedule again!"

"Went to celebrate my wife's birthday and signed up for the Great British Baking Show themed class. Consisted of 3 bakes and was $110 per person. I signed up immediately thinking that each person or couple would have their own station and their own bakes. We showed up and were placed at a table with two other couples and shared responsibilities of baking the three items. It was nice to not have to worry about cleaning dishes or bringing ingredients, but it was really up to your table to have fun/create conversation instead of creating a fun and cohesive environment for the guests. The whole time I couldn't stop thinking about how much we paid to watch other people do the bakes that we believed we were going to do. Drinks were also not free which was a little deceiving after asking us if we wanted mimosas. Ultimately I should've called ahead to ask about these items, but the class description gave no warnings of group work."

"I paid over $100 to get food poisoning from the sushi making class. Both my husband and mom who attended the sushi making class did not feel well the day after. I was the lucky one to be violently, violently ill. I couldn’t even keep down water. And the stomach cramps were horrific. I don’t think I can have sushi for a long time, and I usually have it at least once a month. Otherwise, the class was fun. But I won’t be back."
