"I'm super happy I have to pay tuition just to pay more money to park any where on campus. How are people supposed to get to school? You have business teachers making over a million dollars per year and still have the audacity to charge students to park. Highly recommend thinking about this before coming to this school. Update: just missed class because there wasn't any parking. Drove around for 30 minutes. Transferring schools next semester."

"Every single aspect of applying to this school, signing up for classes, etc. has been beyond frustrating. If you have a question you better ask it 2 months before you need an answer, it takes AT LEAST a month to hear back and the first response is always “I don’t know how to help you” so they have to pass you along to 3 more departments and people who also won’t help you. I have been so disappointed in how I’ve been treated (and ignored) over the last few months. They might as well tell you to your face that they don’t want you there, at least it would save time."

"My graduate program is going great; the professors are extremely personable and in-touch with the material. However, UCD has THE WORST financial aid office I have ever had to deal with. At CSU, my financial aid and returns were completed seamlessly/without any issues/without action on my behalf beyond FAFSA forms. Prepare to spend HOURS of your precious time to be on hold with the UCD office every semester. They are prone to losing documents, misdating information, and failing to complete a single thing without a nudge from you. I mean, literally calling each week to keep the process moving. It’s insane and makes completing my degree much more stressful. My refund and tuition was not paid out until 3 days before the semester ended, accruing fees that I now have to petition (something they said would be as easy as a call, but there I was having to fill out forms). It is happening again this semester, as they had marked everything as complete when it wasn’t. Don’t waste your time here if you plan on using financial aid, unless you’re up for the challenge of dealing with this incompetent office."

"I applied for the Summer semester way back in November and my application wasn't even reviewed or accepted until the beginning of May the following year. They didn't send me any emails or bother to call me and inform me that I need to send them my unofficial transcripts from my previous colleges and universities and my official transcripts from high school in order for them to even look at my application. I had to figure it out myself and if I wouldn't have, then I would have never known and just moved on with my life to another university assuming I wasn't accepted. I sent all of my transcripts back in the beginning of March and they still didn't accept my request for admission until the beginning of May. I had plans to start my classes during Maymester. Now, I can't start when I wanted to because all of the Maymester courses I wanted to take in my program (there aren't many options) are filled to capacity. Now, I have to be placed on a wait list and will likely not get to start my classes. I will also have trouble registering for classes for the rest of the Summer semester as well because they waited so long to review my application and didn't bother contacting me. I'm also having issues with the financial aid department and now I don't have time to resolve my financial aid issues in time to start next semester or maybe even the beginning of the next fiscal school year. Screw it, now I'm just going to withdraw from CU Denver and go to Colorado Christian University. At least at Colorado Christian University, if I end up having to pay out of my own pocket, paying out of my own pocket will be worth it there."

"It's a great school, great programs and affordable! As long as you are not shy to ask for help, they will give you the resources that you need. It's also in downtown so it's super convenient to go anywhere, a lot of activities. A lot of options for food. (The Market on Larimer street has the best hot cocoa - as long as Ernie and Jose makes it!)"
