"Recently relocated to Castle Rock and needed a new barber shop, and a neighbor suggested I try Floyd's barbershop. The service was beyond impeccable. Ranea cut my hair, and she was amazing. Great conversation with a laid-back fun atmosphere. She did an amazing job. She really listened to what style I wanted and the results were everything I wanted and more. Definitely found my new favorite barber shop. I highly recommend the shampoo massage! You leave so relaxed and happy. I can't say enough good things about this place."

"Having my thick hair cut short was a mistake. It's hard to find someone who knows how to cut short hair at salons where they're used to doing long hair. So yesterday, on a whim and needing help desperately, I called Floyd's to see if they did women's hair. Makes sense that they'd have the skills to thin and texture short, thick hair. I'm really happy that I was able to get exactly what I needed so that my hair can grow out with shape and style. I don't even live in Castle Rock. I was just there shopping. "I went there with my son to get a haircut, as the normal place I go was a two hour wait. My stylist asked no questions after I gave her instructions on what I wanted. My haircut is very, very simple, and is a common haircut; 1.5 on the sides, with long hair on top trimmed slightly, bangs left longer so I can style my hair swept back, with a hard part on one side, and the other side blended well between the long hair on top and the short hair on the side. She faced me into the aisle the whole time, so I couldn't see what she was doing. The only time I saw the mirror was at the end, when she asked how it looked. I was literally speechless. It is by far, truly the worst haircut I've had in my 40+ years on this planet. I've never refused to pay for a service of any kind, and this was the closest I have come to doing so. I just kept my mouth shut and paid for the haircut, as I'm not rude and didn't want to make her feel bad. I don't understand how she could have possibly landed on what she did after the instructions I gave. She essentially gave me a buzz cut all the way around, and left a tuft of three inch long hair on the very top/ crown of my head. I don't even know how to describe how bad it is. It's so bad I have no choice but to buzz my head and let it all grow back the same length for several months until I can get it cut again, which is really not a good look for me. I gave the stylist who cut my son's hair the exact same instructions, and his haircut was fantastic. I just don't get it; it's so bad it's confusing. Almost like she did it intentionally for some reason. That's how bad it is compared to my son's hair, who has the same hair style and his stylist received the exact same instructions. It may just be hit or miss on what stylist you get, as my son's cut is great, but I'm certainly not coming back here. There may be a reason most other places in Castle Rock have a long wait for walk-ins all the time or require appointments, whereas Floyd's 99 had no wait."

"Took my little cousin to get his first professional haircut and we had the pleasure of having Lacey cut his hair. We had such a great time and experience! She was extremely helpful and nice. The receptionist (unfortunately didn’t get his name) was extremely nice too! Literally the most welcoming atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend. Lacey is super good with kids. I never leave reviews but we had such an amazing experience here, I had to leave one. Highly recommend this establishment!"
