"I was traveling and needed a haircut and found my way here. Ms. Doris and her husband were so kind and welcoming. Ms. Doris listened to what I wanted and was so patient and careful the whole time, always checking with me to make sure I liked what she was doing and kindly adjusting the cut as we went along based on my input. She was so positive and the environment was calm and relaxed. I felt like I had been to visit friends instead of getting my hair cut. The pictures are of my hair after washing and letting it air dry (no blow drying or products) and then flying for 9 hours. I’d say that’s a good cut! If I’m ever in Durango again I’ll be sure to stop by for a trim. :)"
"I'm surprised this place has such a high rating, but it seems like most of the reviews are for Merv or another person that didn't cut my hair. Doris, a short red-haired lady, cut my hair and she was so sweet but she had no idea what she was doing. Absolutely none. I didn't say anything because my hair was wet when I left but I regret coming here so much, after assessing the damage over a few days. I had long, thick hair and I asked for layers but my hair was so uneven afterwards. She gave me one slightly shorter layer that made my hair look like a staircase. Nothing gradual about it. I ended up having to go somewhere else to get it fixed and lost another half inch in length. I definitely cried over this haircut. I wouldn't go here if you have longer hair that has any waviness to it at all."
