"The food and service were absolutely terrible. Went out with my wife and ordered appetizers, dinners, and dessert. After everyone who came in after us got their food, a chef came out and tried to give our dishes to the table next to us. When I told her it was for us, she rudely said she doesn't serve tables, threw away the plates, and left. That was the last service person we saw all evening. Thankfully, the food was already cold because it sat on the counter for 10 minutes, making it easier to eat. After finishing half of the cold dinner and realizing we wouldn't be getting any desserts, I went up to the counter to get a refund. To my surprise, the cashier kindly said he would comp the desserts. But I reminded him that we never even received the desserts we ordered."
"Great Chinese spot in Denver. Has lots of authentic and classic items to choose from at a good price and great portions. The sesame chicken was delicious and tender, and the spicy garlic eggplant was super spicy. Has a very fast paced environment but a decent amount of seating available. A good spot to go to if you’re craving some Chinese dishes and want to go a step above Panda Express."
"I have been coming here for 30+ years. I love the sesame chicken and shrimp in Lobster sauce. China gourmet is the best Chinese food in Boulder and beyond. Highly recommended, simple, the best!"
"Delicious with a wide variety of options! The only Chinese restaurant my very picky Asian parents will go to in Boulder. My favorites are the mapo tofu and the spicy beef with veggies. And noodles!"
"I eat here fairly often (1X per week), it's good food. It's not traditional authentic Chinese, it's American Chinese. There are other places in Boulder if you want that, they also cost more. Every time I go here, the dining area is mostly full and the people in the kitchen are happy and helpful. It's food, don't overthink it!"
