"Amazing experience. Wish it was even bigger. Some absolute classics among all the vehicles here. The motorocycle collection is a great addition too. The highlight for me was the Big boy steam engine. It was a behemoth. The staff was extremely friendly and the gift shop was reasonably priced too. Train station is a 15 min walk away so be ready to walk."
"Planes, trains and automobiles - and motorcycles and bicycles and lots of great history. I wasn’t sure what to expect of my visit to the Forney but I can tell you it can exceed your wildest expectations. There are lots of things to see and capture your interest regardless of what age group you fall into. We arrived shortly before opening on a Friday. There was plenty of parking and no crowd to speak of. Truth be told, I was a little put off by the window dressing at the entrance. I worried that we were walking into a souvenir shop instead of a museum. That concern was immediately put to rest as we walked through the doors to the exhibit area. It is almost overwhelming as the immense showroom is crammed with well maintained exhibits. We slowly wandered through the collection with an admitted childlike amazement. The shear size of the trains inspires the imagination. Then you get to see small three wheeled vehicles that bring you back to earth. I didn’t know that there was going to be a whole room mostly motorcycles and bicycles. Seeing a pristine example of my first motorcycle (a Honda 175) from the 1970’s brought back fond memories. I highly recommend the Forney for well spent time building new memories."
"Seriously one of the coolest museums I have been to! The exhibits were very thoughtfully curated and I enjoyed the history and stories told in the concise display descriptions! I also loved that it incorporates Denver history related to transportation. I brought my dad who is a car enthusiast here, but saw so many different generations and families there sharing stories and having a blast."
"This museum is so much fun – – there is something here for everyone. There’s an impressive collection of early bicycles that really give you an appreciation for the renovations made in the past 200 years. Yes, there is a bicycle hear from 1817! There was an expansive exhibit of Indian motorcycles that is sure to be a draw for any enthusiast. For me, it was the old cars that really got me revved up. I’ll admit it, seeing Amelia Earhart’s convertible was a real thrill. The big boy steam locomotive was a complete surprise and a real delight. We enjoyed learning about the train from one of the volunteers Carl. He was so knowledgeable and passionate that we couldn’t help but feel excited too. We’re already looking forward to a return visit. There’s too much to take in all at once. Plus the exhibit change every three months. Thanks for a great afternoon!"
"Great niche museum. Saw the Chevy exhibit but they change them quarterly. The trains are our favorite Parking is easy and free. Staff is knowledgeable and nice. I think they do birthday parties there and memberships are available. Great non-profit museum"
