"I brought my Outback XT to Conifer Machine Shop. They did the full service, they pulled the motor, machined the long block, and re-installed it. In addition, while having the motor rebuilt, I also had them install an upgraded turbo, do a custom tune, and go from a two stage to single stage cluch. The best part about working with Conifer Machine Shop is Chris. Chris completely stands behind his work. "I found Conifer Machine Shop through Facebook Marketplace. I inquired about a rebuilt Subaru EJ25 long block. We live in Arizona and I corresponded with Chris about the engine. He was quick to answer questions and very helpful. We ended up buying the engine and having it shipped to AZ. Chris was always very quick with communication. The freight company ended up losing the engine crate. Chris contacted them many times and we both worked to find the engine, but the freight company marked it as missing and told us to file a claim. I asked Chris for a refund for the engine, which he agreed to. He then offered to have one of his employees drive the engine to us. We agreed and Tyler delivered the engine to our house. Tyler helped my husband with the timing and some other things. A few days later we installed the engine at our house. During the engine install Chris was always quick to answer questions for us. We got the engine installed and it runs perfectly. Chris (and Tyler) were extremely professional. I was so impressed by the way Chris handled the mishap with the shipping company. We need a machine shop in our town like Conifer! Thank you so much."

"Chris and the team at Conifer Machine Shop are second to none! He has built a few engines for me and they have all been great. He goes out of his way to do things the right way. He is very fair with his prices and has a good turnaround time. He specializes in Subaru engines and knows them inside and out. If you have any machine work related to Subaru Chris is your guy. In the pictures we have my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 5.9 Cummins and my 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS. It has over 400,000 miles and Chris gave it another go at life when the Gates timing belt broke at 70’000 miles since replaced. It’s ready for another 400k!"
