"We stopped into Rico’s looking for a quick bite to eat. The atmosphere is great but the service was not. The waitress meant well but it was her second shift and she was already alone and confused. It didn’t feel like we were at a restaurant, more-so like when you were a kid and went to a friend of a friends house. Sitting there quietly and awkwardly. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks ordered and even longer to receive them. When we did get our drinks, the pop was flat and had a sour after taste, as of it was expired. As a party of five, on a Sunday afternoon with no one in store, it took an hour for half our party to receive their food. By the time they finished their meal, the rest of us still hadn’t received what we ordered. Once we finally did get our food it wasn’t anything. It was okay. Fried pickles were cooked in a way i’d never seen and was actually pretty delicious. The panini & fries was great. The street tacos were served with no side and cold tortillas. The burger & fries were okay. Wings I order came in two flavors (which they charge extra for. wasn’t informed), old carrots and celery, and a side of plain white bread ? The menu said fries, but it was okay bread. Mac & Cheese brisket pizza wasn’t really a pizza but something your old college roommate would cook up while they were high in your old dorm room. What we ended up paying for 3/5 seemed completely overpriced for the sub-par food quality and ill-timed delivery. Wish them the best of luck, but will not return"

"It smells like a mixture of the bathroom and weed in here. Both are unpleasant, and weed is illegal, so both are confusing but for different reasons. Ordered water. Bartender came out with water that she had added some pineapple and strawberry to. Super nice touch. Loved that. Ordered a fried shrimp po boy and a dozen wings, extra crispy. Received a fried fish po boy and wings that looked very good but were by no means extra crispy. A real shame on the wings but they really were not done enough at all. They were cooked of course, but wings need to be fried a bit more or the skin is just kinda...slimy. Fried fish po boy slapped though. Overall a very confusing experience. Won't be back, but would recommend."

"Rico's on University down in Dogtown (Drake) has awesome tacos for cheap and only on Tuesdays. Fast Service, friendly staff, games on TV, drinks aplenty, and good seating arrangements. Shrimp, Steak, or Chicken options. Good Verde too. I had ordered one of each and by the time I had one I ordered 3 more."

"This was my 2nd time h?ere love their wings. 1st time I was told I could request all flats this time was told no. I ordered the buffalo sauce and parm sprinkled on top. They were just as great as they were the first time; however, now ill only go back with someone that will eat the dummies. Mac n cheese and glossy shrimp are yummy too. For frozen onion rings they were cooked good, had good texture and would order again."
