"This is absolutely, hands down, the best gym I've ever been to. When my boyfriend and I joined Iowa City Fitness, we were the most out of shape we had ever been. I started training with Adam (also the owner of the gym), and he started training with Zack. Both Adam and Zack changed our lives as they pushed us to get back into the groove of working out and eating healthy. After 3 short months of training with Adam, I lost over 20 pounds. Adam was so helpful because he taught me so much about health and working out. During every workout, he explained what we were doing and how these exercises helped. The best part about working out with Adam is that he believed in me. I was extremely overweight when I started but that didn't stop him from crafting hard workouts for me instead of just sticking to the basics. He is so knowledgeable (and my boyfriend would say the same about Zack) and so dedicated to the health of his clients. Unfortunately, we moved in August, otherwise we would be members for life at Iowa City Fitness. It has now been almost 5 months since we moved and both my boyfriend and I kept the weight we lost off because Adam and Zack taught us lifestyle changes which is the healthiest way to lose weight. Every trainer there is great and I highly recommend training at this gym! Aside from the training, the gym was incredible. I never felt judged while working out there and I was always able to find an open machine. The gym is well kept and very clean. Every person that works there is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I have never met nicer people than Adam and Zack! Everyone there is so passionate about what they do. Please join this gym if you live in the Iowa City area, it will change your life!"

"Iowa City Fitness has anything and everything any person could ask for. Whatever type of workout you are interested in, this gym has it and the equipment is top notch. The facilities are excellent, but the people and the management is really what puts this place above all other gyms. The owner is personable with every single member and he has an attitude that is contagious towards every person in there. The moment I saw him every day, he brightened my day and made me ready for my workout. He also was always there for me with helpful tips on how to improve certain lifts. You will not find another owner like this at any other gym. He is personally invested in each member. I lived in Iowa City for about a year and absolutely loved the town, and this gym was the part about the town I enjoyed the most."

"Best gym in the area by far. Have been coming here since I was a senior in high school at a local high school and love it. Have not stopped coming here even after enrolling at the University of Iowa. Much less crowded at all times of the day than the University Recreation Center is. 24/7 access allows me to come in whenever I can even if its late after work. New owner Adam has improved the overall experience of the gym and always remembers everyone he comes in contact with in the gym. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a gym or a new gym with no waits for equipment."

"Contrary to others opinions, I found this gym to be good place to lift. The owner, Adam is nice & enjoys to get to know those who are lifting in his gym & to assist them with their needs.
