About the Business
The Change Dance is a new dance studio located in Urbandale, Iowa, founded by Anna Katherine Moon in 2022. Our focus is on emotional wellness, injury prevention, and body positivity in a nurturing and supportive environment. We offer a wide variety of dance styles for ages 2 to adult, including Creative Movement, Classical Ballet, Contemporary Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Tap, and more. Our classes are designed to prioritize the physical and emotional well-being of our dancers, with personalized injury prevention programs and regular fuel breaks. Our educators create a body-positive and supportive space where dancers can express themselves through art while also focusing on their basic needs. The Change Dance aims to keep the passion for dance alive while promoting a healthy and confident mindset in all our students. Our instructors, including Anna Moon, Noah, Tyler, and Maddy, bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our studio, ensuring that every dancer receives the best possible training and support. "We have a toddler here and love it. The dance experience for younger ones without being super strict. I was really looking for somewhere to have my toddler experience dance without the push for "perfect competition" that I don't feel he needs at 3 years old. I do love that he can stick with it and as he gets older have some more focus on competition at the same location. They know how to cater to different ages well. Love the owners, they definitely take the time to get to know the parents and are very personable."

Miss Anna promotes a body positive environment, with an emphasis on mental wellness. It's been such a refreshing change! The teachers and dance education is top notch. The teachers are at competitions - not just watching, but backstage prepping with the dancers, offering encouragement and support. We cannot recommend this place enough - if you are looking for a top-notch dance studio with a family feel, look no further. This is the place."
