"As is the case with all Des Moines food pantries food quality and quantity is very poor. There's nothing wrong with employee performance or the like but just the food that is available is not something that most Americans would eat unless they were literally starving to death and severely malnourished. It's very easy for people not in such a situation to say that people should take some cans of beans and a bag of rice and be damn happy they even get that much, but I guarantee the same people would have a very abrupt change of heart if they were faced with the same circumstances."
