"Update: Yet another billing mess! I DID try to call for the Clinic Manager (as suggested in the reply from my first billing mess) but nobody answers the option on their recording! I let it ring for more than 2 minutes! Then I tried the option for billing help... and it just says to contact a totally different number! Seriously, Mercy? You act like your reply is helpful, then cause even more stress? Horrible patient service. Absolutely horrible insurance record-keeping and lack of billing knowledge! Every single time we have taken anyone in our household to the MercyOne Ankeny Urgent Care we end up having to fix a huge billing mess! Do better, MercyOne!!!!"
"Made us pay a "co-pay" even tho we don't have co-pay with our insurance. Said everyone has to pay something before being seen. The person we saw was very odd. Negative results for influenza & covid. Throat and ears looked fine. Prescribed antibiotics to "cover whatever else it might be""
"I went to the clinic at about 4:30 on a Wednesday. The checkin process was quick and the gal at the desk was kind and patient. I only waited about 10 minutes to get in to see the ARNP. Both the nurse and the ARNP were kind and efficient. I needed multiple prescriptions and got them filled in under 10 minutes at the clinic pharmacy. They were wonderful as well. I felt pretty rough when I went in. To have the entire process done in under an hour- amazing. I was home and in bed very quickly and I was/am grateful for that."
"I arrived at 1 minute before closing time after falling and hitting my head on the sidewalk. Everyone was great from the receptionist to the nurses to the doctor with my ultimately getting referred to the emergency room for a cat scan. Friendly, competent, efficient and caring staff."
"Of course, I started feeling poorly on a Friday night and needed to see Care on a Saturday. I was happy to be able to schedule a time to be seen at urgent care online. I had a short wait but it was manageable. The staff was polite, courteous, and welcoming. I received a good care and was treated with dignity thank you very much.."
