UnityPoint Clinic – Express (Ankeny)

"Horrible experience- Supposed to be an urgent care & they turn people away. Brought my mother in for an ankle injury & when tried checking in front desk verified with BO if okay to be seen although online stated 0 patients waiting & could not request appt online. BO refused to see my mother, asking if she had a bone sticking out. When I told her no that I believe she may just need it wrapped/looked at, the nurse gave me a wrap and stated that was best she could do. Would never return nor recommend."

"Whoever is working the front desk 2.25.2024 at 10am needs to be fired. Beyond rude and disrespectful. Take a child in for a walk on appointment. NO ONE in the waiting room and tells us first available appointment is 12pm, 2hrs from now. Then we ask about making appointments and tells us only thing available is walk ins. So we have to sit there for 2 hours......while no one is there. We leave, we lose our spot. Are you freaking kidding me?!?!?!? Her lack of empathy and how rude she was in her tone and explaining stuff, she should be working in a line inside a manufacture. This place has went way down hill!!! No one cares anymore and acts like we are an inconvenience to them. Oh sorry....sorry to ruin your day of work sitting in front of a computer on your lazy tailbone!"

"Woke up on Sunday February 18th with symptoms of a medical condition that I knew needed timely care. Went on the Unity Point Express (Ankeny) website, and was able to choose an appointment time that afternoon. How cool is that? Arrived about 15 minutes early, and was greeted by Kayla at the front desk. She asked a few questions, told me to have a seat, and within 2 - 3 minutes I was called to the exam room. The Nurse (sorry - I didn't get her name) was caring, and took care of getting mu vitals. Within a couple minutes, P.A. Hannah was in the room and diagnosed my ailment. She discussed options for treatment, and I was sent on my way with orders already called in to my pharmacy for 2 Rx's. Folks, I was in and out of the building in about 30 minutes. I found this Unity Point location to be VERY clean, and efficiently staffed. My only hope is that if Management or Directors see my review, they can determine the name of my Nurse, so she can also be given proper credit for a job well done."

"Never had any issues. Very simple you make a appointment online and get seen at your time slot selected. Makes it so much faster then walking in and waiting hours. Also very much availability among there 3 or 4 clinics. Every time I come in and see people who still have not picked up the fact that there by appointment and become very upset a doctor can’t see them at that exact moment even though there are multiple things online about it being by appointment and all over the doors letting you know it’s appointment only. I get some people need to be seen right away but if it’s that urgent go to a hospital to receive care. And be grateful the days of sitting for hours is over ."

"I really like how polite and easy-going the staff was. They do require reservations now and I like that. Ways to access and not wait time due to the organization. Brad and the staff were friendly and I feel comfortable coming here if I have an emergency."
