"Dr. Sufka-Boyd and her nurse are amazing! I’m a difficult patient and if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have had a consistent pcp when I really needed one. Dr. Sufka-Boyd has an amazing bedside manor. She’s easy to get along with and she actually listens. I really like Iowa clinic. The billing department- Iowa Clinic is the ONLY medical entity that has ever promptly returned money if an overpayment was made - without me ever having to ask for it!"
"I had the worst experience with the Iowa Clinic billing department that I have ever encountered. Their coders incorrectly coded a visit I had with a PCP. Every month for the last YEAR I received the bill for the visit, called the billing department, spoke with someone who said they would “call me back” and NO ONE ever did. I had to call every. single. month. when this bill came and it was the same thing over and over. I spoke with multiple supervisors as well. I finally gave up today and paid the bill. I will never be back."
"Wonderful experience with doctor but woeful experience with billing department. Bill they sent to me was not obvious. All it say it lab LAB PROVID: LAB TEST, but not what type of test or what medical condition that test was for. According to my insurance all the lab cost are paid, hospital claims preventive care side is taken care but not the other medical condition test. Clearly, i can't figure out which lab test is for which claim, unless i call the hospital billing department since they have different bill viewing than what they send to patient. Never saw other hospital giving a vague billing statement."
"I saw Dr. Kawsu Barry (Orthopedics) today for knee pain. Dr. Barry was fantastic, and I HIGHLY recommend him for any knee issues. Dr. Barry FIRST listened to me, next validated my concerns, then he explained, using the imaging, why I have the pain. He worked me to develop a treatment plan to maximize the length of time before I would need a total knee with encouragement. You don't often find a physician who will look you in the eye throughout the entire appointment. Highly, HIGHLY recommend Dr. Barry. Iowa Clinic -- Please get Dr. Barry on the list of your providers so he can receive individual reviews as well."
