Dollar General

"I get that everyone needs to work and have a job but the kid Nick that works there needs some more customer service training. I go to dollar general to avoid having to go into Walmart but now it's gonna be the other way around. I didn't know they closed at 8 and I showed up a few minutes before close and say I know you close soon but can I grab a couple things. Nick then said be quick you have 3 minutes. I turned to him and say what are you gonna do if I'm in here after 8?. The manager then says he wasn't being serious andi reply with he seems pretty serious and I'm gonna take my time. Every time I go there Nick has an attitude and I let it pass because I understand some people don't have filters but if he is gonna work in customer service he needs to know how to handle situations better and people need to stop letting him get awaysl with it and make excuses for him."

"ZERO STARS if i could. Not sure HOW the man behind the counter got a job there. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was having trouble with my card so, I politely stepped aside for the other guests to be serviced. They weren’t bothered & i also apologized to them for the inconvenience. They laughed, said it was no problem, & carried on checking out. The employee on the other hand, rude. VERY. Once I got my card figured out, I stepped back up the cashier, apologized to him for the inconvenience as well, & asked if we could try it one more time. He responded with a huge sigh followed with “Well, it BETTER work this time.” I didn’t realize my issue was such a huge one to him. He needs to be fired immediately. Doesn’t matter though because i will not be returning. Corporate should be notified as I have seen him be very rude to other customers as well."

"Don't even waste your time driving here! The Only two employees I ever see when I go there (short young man and tall female) always act like they don't want to be there. I'm sorry if I'm coming in 15 mins before close...But you're still open so don't try to shoo me out. I already overpay for everything I buy there so the least y'all could do is offer good customer service! Don't work there if you can't handle an 8 hr shift and wanna be off right at frickin close. I work 12 hr shifts an still deliver excellent customer service until it's time for me to clock out. I WILL be speaking to someone higher-up about this because it's totally unacceptable. Won't go back until the employees change!!! This review probably won't change anything but I hope at least one person reads this and agrees with me!"

"Got in and out fairly quick and got what I was looking for easily. Customer service was good, friendly staff. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because sometimes the quality of product isn't the best. Sometimes you can get great things for a great price other times you get a great price and you get what you paid for. Cheap is cheap."

"One of the only dollar general stores I can stand going to these days. Great service. Always get a welcome. The biggest thing for me is the inventory is on the shelves and not on pallets or the floor. Great place for quick cheap replaceable items."
