I went in there to get a bow I bought restrung and they charged me $160 without giving me a estimate price beforehand. As a new bow hunter this was a terrible first experience for me."
"Used to love coming here. Guys are knowledgeable and laid back. But most recent pricing is crazy. Offered $300 for my $699 MSRP gun less than a year old, and had a list price of $649 on a $499 MSRP pistol I was interested in. I even asked for a $50 bump in trade offer, but they wouldn't budge - told me "we're not some Mexican shop" and made a joke about it. I'm glad he didn't agree to the bump because I would have made the purchase without knowing I was getting ripped off. Ended up going to a competitor and getting the same exact gun for $200 less and will most likely get more in trade value."
"11/15/21 Stopped in with plenty of cash looking for one of my wishlist guns. They happened to have a variant of it on the wall up high, behind the counter. I nicely asked the gentleman behind the counter if he could tell me the price as I couldn't read the tag. "$1,400" he says, "but I can raise the price if it's not cheap enough". Joke or not, pretty ballsy thing to say considering the gun was already $200 above MSRP. Great way to lose a customer. I'll take my business somewhere else, maybe right across the street. And I'll be sure to tell plenty of people this story too."
