"Was told that I was approved for the 2K I initially wanted she even said I was approved for 3k after pulling my credit uploading my paystub and everything else they asked for then at closing time she called me and asked if I could get them 3 months of bank statements because they didn’t know much about the bank I use now mind you I already sent my paystub in and talked to the lady in the morning she told me the 2 offers I said I would talk to her at 4 then 3:50 pm she called me and asked for bank statements so I went to library printed them out and brought them in to her than she calls me at 5:40 pm and says that it looks like my paystub shows that I have 3 separate deposits and wants to know if she can get bank statements for them now not that it’s any of their business but my checks go into 3 different accounts for the bills that need to be paid and what m in doing and I only owe 1 of them accounts but my thing is why would it matter where my check goes into what account if I’m approved for the loan and the amounts than I’m approved but after reading these reviews I’m kind of relieved that this didn’t come through! God works in mysterious ways and he sure saved me from a mess but thank you for the time"

"Applied for a loan for a project after I was preapproved. Then after I provided the documents I was asked, they moved the goal posts and ask for even more information, including a paystub which I provided. Finally after getting half of a day to provide the additional information, the application timed out and I would have to re-apply with another thing to my credit. I’ve literally never missed a payment in my life so I’m not sure what all of the additional information was for. Then they asked if I would provide my bank login information to show deposits, lol. Yeah I’m going to provide a third-party with my bank login info, OK. Horrible experience, look elsewhere."

"I’d give them a 1 star at best, but again we did get a loan. The cons are there interest rates are at 29.5 which is extremely high at a 6K loan I was poised to pay it off in I believe in over 10 years for a 6000 loan. I’d never use OneMain ever again"

"This place is the worst company to work with. I tried to pay off my account with the online payoff quote they generated. However it would not allow me to pay that amount. It would only allow me to pay the balance. Then I checked the following day and there was still a balance and same thing happened it wouldn’t allow me to pay the payoff amount. Today there was a balance of 6 cents. I tried to pay it off in person and they wouldn’t take the payment to pay the account in full. They needed proof I paid the account. They confirmed they received $10,191.60 and $119.72.. It was NOT rejected/returned by my bank. It was PAID. But they needed proof of payment??? AND NOT ACCEPT MY REQUEST TO PAY THE ACCOUNT IN FULL IN PERSON. I don’t even want to give them one star"

"Okay, had to edit because I do not know how to respond to the reply they put. Again, do not use this financial institution unless you want to spend more on interest, then paying your loan down. We were NEVER late and in fact paid 250 extra a month to put towards the principal balance of the loan and because I wasn't paying attention, was just trusting them to apply it as I had told them to do, they did not. The majority of that extra payment and when I say "majority" I mean out of 250 on average 240 went to interest, not the principal. Be VERY careful. If they don't give you the loan be thankful, ask a friend, ask someone else but......... Do NOT, no matter what, no matter how easy or the fact that they will finance immediately, most people, do NOT go with this Company. I've just realized ALL my extra payments I have made over the last 2 years have not been going to the principal balance as I wanted it to. Who in their right mind would pay 245 dollars extra a month to pay off a loan faster, only to have them NOT POST IT TO THE PRINCIPAL BALANCE. Our Mortgage Company posts the extra payment, to Principal. Our car loan, extra payment to Principal, any other loan we have EVER had in the past extra payments have gone to Principal. Not this one, and they will smoothly tell you why but don't listen. I've already had someone look at it and they are going to be looking further into this. Please, go elsewhere."
