Mullets Restaurant

"I worked 40 hours overnight in the last 3 days. I came to check out Mullets, for the first time, when I got off work this morning. It's Amazing! Very cozy atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I chose an alcoholic beverage, to unwind after my long weekend, and it is Delicious! I got the salmon hash brown breakfast and asked for a different kind of cheese than what was listed on the menu, not a problem for this establishment. My food came out pretty quickly, hot, perfect, and Delicious! The coffee is also fresh and delicious, a huge plus for me. The music is great, the staff has been checking on me, and I am a very satisfied customer! Come check this place out. So many creative choices on the menu to try, I will get back. Thanks Mullets!!!"

"Excellent spot for unique breakfast dishes. Cinnamon roll pancakes. Seafood hash with Swiss cheese. The food was excellent. On Saturday morning we had to wait an hour but we toured downtown Des Moines while we waited. I like the 80s music they play. My only complaint is the music was a little loud."

"This was my first time visiting mullets after living in the dsm metro for over 13 years. Mullets is your typical bar styled food so they will have the usual burgers and fries which I judge bars from. You can’t mess up burgers and fries so if I do get a horrible burger that speak volumes for the rest of the menu. Now my wife ordered a brisket nacho appetizer we received and it was huge,tasted great but lacked in much brisket. If I have to ratio it out it would 90% chips 5 lettuce salsa and cheese and 5% brisket. Since it did lack brisket it made up for it in taste. Now, like I said I ordered a burger and fries, fries were excellent you would not believe how many places serves bad fries and Mullets is not one of them. Tuesday burger was very good but I’m not sure if the patties are hand made or bought in bulk because the patty tasted exactly like the patty from my sisters place which I reviewed some time ago. But nevertheless the food was good. I will make a return trip to try there other dishes"

"Came here once in 2021 and had an amazing BBQ & eggs benedict with Alabama white sauce. Went back recently and got an avocado toast flight that was absolutely horrible. The english muffins were rubbery, the avocado was bitter, and the other toppings were just stale or the flavors didn't work because of poor quality ingredients. I did like their cocktails, however. That hasn't changed. But, what a bad second visit. I always go there with friends and they agreed that the food was not good this time."
