"Food was mediocre—But what you see in the picture was literally $20. Before the tip. And even tho the girl acted put out when I asked for salt and a fork she still of course expects a tip. Fries and a Gyro 20$. I ordered extra meat but I’m not sure where the lady put it. Maybe in her pocket? The portion was small. The flavor of the meat was lacking and bland. The fries were dry and old. I gave it 2 Stars instead of one because I liked the hot sauce. Food in downtown Iowa city is getting more and more ridiculous in price. But this is ludicrous. I will definitely not be returning to this place ever. If you want a good gyro then find Hicks gyros, which is a food truck. They are delicious, bigger, and less expensive."
"Went late evening...first, couldn't get in b/c bunch of people sitting & blocking stairs to the front door. Wife asked to unlock restroom, staff says "that NOT a restroom" when the sign reads Restroom! The gentleman busy chit chatting with friend vs helping guests. Not very sanitary, in terms of food handling practices either...and selling gyros out of a steam well versus the spit (gyros rotisserie)"
"Highly recommend trying this place out. The gyros were delicious and the pita bread was light as a cloud, so good! Perfect golden grilled cheese for our little one. The atmosphere is very friendly and clean. Limited seating but they wrap the gyros up perfectly in a way that makes it very easy to walk and eat. Can also or get it to go, door dash, etc. Will absolutely be back soon!"
