Hy-Vee Grocery Store

"I really like this Hy-Vee. They may be smaller, but they have a good selection. Store is kept well-stocked. There are a couple of employees behind the food counter (the pizza/burger/comfort foods one) that will ignore people waiting to order, but otherwise most employees are pleasant and helpful. Pharmacy staff are helpful as well."

"If management is passive aggressive towards their employees in front of shoppers, I don’t want to know how they’re treated when no one’s around. Obviously it was busy, being Super Bowl Sunday. I found a self checkout line that was empty. The checkout station behind me was also open. No one was waiting behind me. I asked the employee near by if there was a limit to the number of items and was told no. While checking out a manager came over and curtly said, “For future reference, this (where I was currently checking out) is reserved for Insta Cart shopper” and walked away. She didn’t even give the elderly employee a chance to respond. There was no signage concerning that. Also, no one was waiting on me to leave. However the lines were very long in other lines with cashiers. At the very least, management should be able to give instructions without being rude. I’m not sure what this employee did to deserve that treatment. Do better."

"It's a nice clean store. It's not my favorite layout. Fruit and veggies on one end, and health section on another. Pharmacy in another corner. People with healthy or restricted diets have to go to 3 unattached areas for their food and homeopathic meds. It's a small annoyance, so no stars removed. It's also not the stores fault."

"A great store to shop. Good customer service very friendly. Everyone in the meat department is very helpful and knowledgeable. There aren't enough adjectives to describe how top notch, Dave, Val, and the rest of the pharmacy team are. They always above and beyond to help."

"This Hy-Vee is a great grocery store because it wins against all of the odds thrown at it. It's location is on a busy street/business intersection due to Windsor Heights & Clive not having a good traffic budget or planning. Parking is easy and quick - very fluid. Inside the store, amazingly clean and well stocked. The employees are absolutely wonderful; helpful, smiling, and they go out of their way to help you...every employee I see is always busy, which is refreshing. I live in Phoenix, AZ and visit family quite a few times a year in the Windsor Heights area. This grocery store is refreshing compared to the Fry's Grocery stores in Phoenix; great employees, service, well stocked, and easy to shop. I joined the Perks program, best grocery shopping move ever! I can order from Phoenix delivery for my elderly relatives in Windsor Heights and know that from this store they will receive quality produce and goods. Also if a product is out, they text me with replacement options - excellent communication for remote orders. Delivery is also sent via text, updated and always on time. This is a phenomenal store an I owe them a huge thank you every week!"
