"Scott Taylor and David Porter have been my go to for quite some time. I appreciate their professionalism."
"Scott Taylor mismanaged our tax return, failing to include a W2 that was provided to him twice. This wasn't a huge issue at first; mistakes happen. The issues arose when Scott's response was to shift the blame onto us. First he denied he ever received the W2. Once I showed him receipts that he downloaded the file, twice, he then blamed us because he could read the particular file type. All conversations that should have been had before he decided to ignore the W2 and file without it."
"Learn from my mistake, go to another accounting firm. Jim Wilcox with BDO might have more expertise than two stars; however, with his poor communication skills and careless (yet costly) mistakes, make it challenging to know his exact skill level. My family and I used Jim Wilcox with BDO for the past few years to complete tax returns for a variety of trusts and personal returns. Well, it turns out he never created state returns for one of the most important trusts. Since our father had passed away, we were relying on his knowledge and expertise to guide us. Instead, he made a very large error. However, that's not the worst part. We could have worked through a mistake. Rather, instead of collaborating and developing a plan to remedy the situation with us, his mode of communication was defensiveness and avoidance. Since using Jim we've now found an amazing CPA, Mark Moore at Hanson & CO CPA. Working with Mark Moore has made us realize that we should have gone with our instincts years ago and never hired Jim Wilcox with BDO. For fun, you should call Jim Wilcox. His poor communication skills are evident from the first call."
