"I booked a solo hike with Eric on May 9, 2016, as part of multiple hikes I made throughout the islands while I was in Hawaii. It was definitely one of my top hikes I made while on the trip! From the start, he was very prompt and attentive with everything, from the booking process, checking in from time to time leading up to the day of the hike, and following up afterwards to see how my experience went. When booking through his website, I got a response literally within minutes! He e-mailed me the morning of the hike to let me know about weather conditions prior to me driving out to meet up with him (mind you we met up at 6:15 AM!). He was early meeting up with me which I appreciated, and truly showed his dedication to his business and clients' experience. The hike itself was phenomenal! Excellent views, with plenty of invigorating trails to test my hiking skills :) However, for those that are not looking for an intense hiking experience, Eric is more than willing to tailor the experience to whatever level you and/or your family/group is looking for, and will give you plenty of chances for breaks and pictures if desired. He was full of interesting information throughout the entire morning, and was very easy to converse with, making the hike much more enjoyable. He was full of valuable information about what to do around Kaua'i, as well as how to avoid all the crowded spots, which was my intention with this trip. I would highly recommend this hiking experience to anyone, especially for those looking for a truly individualized experience!"

"Eric is an amazing guide! I felt like I really accomplished something when we were done with our hike. The trail was challenging and resulted in spectacular views- exactly what I wanted. I felt like we were the only ones on the island. He did a wonderful job filling me in on the landscape, the local culture, and why he decided to make Kauai his permanent home. It was also fun to swap stories about our kids and favorite sports teams! I am so happy I did this and would love to one day bring my kids back and do another hike with Eric. "Hike Kauai With Me was one of the best parts of our trip to Kauai. My wife and I didn't really know where to go hiking, but definitely wanted to see the island so we signed up. Eric did a great job of tailoring the hike to our wants and skill level. The views were gorgeous and the hike was challenging (but not overwhelming or scary). Eric's a great conversationalist and very personable; he made the journey even more interesting with his insights on the island and its culture. He was laid back and fun throughout, but clearly is very professional. Also, he was punctual and prompt to respond to all emails and texts. Added bonus, he provides tips and recommendations for food, activities, etc while you're on the island."

The scenery was stunningly beautiful, and we didn't see another soul the entire time (though we did get to meet a family of wild horses). Eric was a very personable/hospitable guide who knew a great deal about the area. "Fantastic experience, would definitely do this again. Recommended by a colleague who hiked with Eric on his trip to Kaua'i, said nothing else like it on the island. I emailed Eric through the website and he got back to me in less than 24h. I told him we wanted to take a hike that we could not do on our own or with the ease of simply reading a guide book, and that is exactly what he provided! Super easy and flexible planning. We went on a 4h hike overlooking Hanalei Bay with awesome views and a bit of challenging terrain that satisfied the more active members of the group while still accommodating the more cautious hikers. On top of that Eric has a very friendly outgoing personality, is able to keep the conversation going during the hike, and had great recommendations for the remainder of our stay on the island."
